Well all finished now, hope you enjoyed your extra feed.
This was so pretty yesterday but I forgot to take a picture.
I moved the Bar-B-Q for its annual clean, I'm not sure why we have one I don't like barbequed food much but every now and again we might have one.
They are putting the tiles on next door have been since 6am this morning so guess who was woken up at 6am this morning.
They are pretty fast but oh so noisy, one of them was having girlfriend trouble so now I know all about it too.
I cleaning my roof rafters for painting and then we will replace the roof as this one now has holes and a lot of leaf litter at the moment.

ReplyDeleteOh that opportunist Drumstick... she's a character that's for sure! The red pots in the garden look fabby. You are certainly being busy about your home. Seems you may have new neighbours before long too... YAM xx
I just want them to finish building now it's so noisy.
DeleteMerle.........
I'm sure drumstick must have thought she had won the lottery!!!
ReplyDeleteYour garden is so lovely, and that BBQ is mammoth!
She likes her food and everyone's else too.
DeleteMerle.................
At last! Someone else who doesn't like BBQued food!
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing you won't have to put up with the builders for much longer.

I not sure why I what I was thinking on the day I arrived home with that thing but I might use it one day.
DeleteMerle...........
You could send that BBQ home with one of your children, and then go there!
ReplyDeleteMy son has one he never uses and my daughter does eat much meat so they have no use for it.
DeleteMerle........
The garden is looking wonderful - love the red pots. And you have described our barbecue use perfectly. For most of the year it just sits there.
ReplyDeleteBarbecue's were popular a while back and everyone has one they no longer use much maybe I should paint it red.
DeleteMerle...........
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Merle. Love that hibiscus flower!
ReplyDeleteHappy new year to you too.
ReplyDeleteMerle...........
A little extra for Drumstick to celebrate the new year. Here tradies aren't allowed to start work before 7am.
ReplyDeleteThey don't really work before 7am but they arrive at 6 and discuss their love life and have a munch and turn the radio on very loud but the tilers will be finished today so I will never see them again but there was a stuff up yesterday, I heard about it this morning and someone in the team was very upset so it's head down and bum up today to get it finished.
DeleteMerle.............
Oh, isn't Drumstick a smart girl? She knows a good thing when she sees it! Your gardens are so lush and inviting - I love the chicken wire cloche - or is it a birdcage? - anyway, I love it! So funny about the roofer's love life....do you also have the loud music from the portable radio's? Hopefully it will all be over soon and you will have wonderful neighbors who leave you little gifts and watch your house when you have to leave. :) Wishing you a very Happy New Year, Merle - and the Beer Fairy and the family, too - the very best. Hugs xo Karen
ReplyDeleteIts a birdcage but only has clay birds in it, I don't like birds in cages our Pidge was only in a cage when he was injured.
DeleteI hope we have wonderful neighbours too, I don't mind if I don't get gifts but I would like them to be peaceful and friendly.
Happy new year to all your family and friends.
Merle.............
Bet Drumstick thought she had hit the lottery!!! Or Santa forgot about her and made a 2nd trip around!!
ReplyDeleteI keep forgetting that you are now in summer time while we're in winter!!
They are certainly moving right along with he construction of the house next door!! Have you met the new neighbors yet???
As the owner lived the other side we think it will be some one he knows well or a family member.
DeleteMerle............
I can imagine Drumsticks excitement at that large food dish!
ReplyDeleteGood to see the new house nearly finished, just the interior to get done.
Will you be replacing that roof with the same clear green panels? I like shady areas like that where enough light gets in to be able to see without a torch.
We will replace it with clear as it's hard to grow things under the green.
DeleteMerle............
Boy, Drumsticks has become a real family member and didn't you say she just wandered into your yard one fine day?
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your family a beautful New Year in 2014.
Yes she came in for a look and stayed.
DeleteWishing a happy new year.
Merle...
It looks like you're doing a lot of chores before the new year ends, Merle. I put away all the decorations, and I must say that it felt good to clean up a bit.
ReplyDeleteHello there Drumstick, and Happy New Year!
Love,
~Sheri
I'm trying to get a bit done before the weather heats up again.
DeleteHappy new year
Merle...........
Such a stunning bloom! And oh that sweet drumstick looking for some more food! Too cute!!!! And nothing like getting an ear full from the workers! You have a great week lady!!!
ReplyDeleteDrumstick is always looking for food, I now have a leftover bowl in the kitchen she eats amazing things, and if you eat anything outside she sits next to you and tried to pinch some.
DeleteMerle..................
Happy new year!!:)) It look very warm where you live:) Not like here:))
ReplyDeleteTake care:)
Ps: Love the pic of you and your daughter:)) Cute girls:))
It was 50c in the middle of Australia yesterday now that's just too hot.
DeleteMerle.............
Funny to see Drumstick "helping" out, we just refilled the Boo's jar of dried food, and he made sure to lend a paw.
ReplyDeleteJen
They are funny about food a bit like us.
DeleteMerle............
It is so bitterly cold here in Minnesota that there is hardly anything going on outdoors. It's so nice to know that it's summer somewhere in the world! I love all that green!
ReplyDeleteToday is cooler but yes we had some very hot days and I've seen how cold it is in your part of the woods on the news.
DeleteMerle...............
good wishes for 2014 and more happy blogging posts Merle - keep cool
ReplyDeleteHello Dear Merle...I see no snow covering plants there, (like here. ha!)
ReplyDeleteHope your New Year of life is filled with great things both big and small.
Thank you so much for all your sweet visits. Love having you stop by. Susan
How lucky you have a wonderful garden with big shady trees. I'm sure it comes in very handy during a heat wave. It is very cold in many parts of North America where I live. But where I live specifically it is mild right now (cold a few weeks ago). I wish you and your family a Happy New Year!
