Don' t they look sweet sitting there so peacefully with the sun behind them amazing how well they have got on this week with Angus visiting, I expected a lot of fighting but they have all been good and Angus tolerates all beings as long as they don't between him and his food well any food really.
See that plate on the stand in the right hand side of the picture well that is no more, it got in Who's way so it came to a smashing end, I never liked it much so I'm not worried .
This is what they are checking out the little house next door has been empty now for about 5 or 6 weeks, we think maybe a few mice were hanging around, we had one inside but the cats got him now they are looking for brothers and sisters. The guy who owns this house is going to tear it down and rebuild he has owned it for a long time and always rented it out but never really looked after it, the window was removed the other day so you can see inside, there is water damage from a leak in the roof , the people who were living in here had 4 young children and nobody was very careful or clean.
The air conditioner was in the hole in the wall the tenants just took it with them and replaced the hole with cardboard, they were a bit rough and ready and very noisy it is so peaceful since they have gone.
Angus has found a sunny spot to spend so time.
AAnd all the jasmine is now flowering so everything smells lovely.
The guy who owns the house trimmed up our tree the other day any thing that hangs over the fence he cuts off but I didn't thing he would bother when he is going to rebuild but I was wrong.
More sun in the garden now. |
It does indeed look sad. I hope he doesn't build a McMansion, and that he (or whoever moves in) appreciate your garden. (Which is probably two months ahead of mine.)
ReplyDeleteThe owner lives on the other side of this little house, he has a reasonably new house so I don't think he will do that but who knows.

ReplyDeleteI adore the cat and doggy shots Merle - sucker for those as you will have discovered by now!
Oh dear, sounds like the neighbours are better gone, but I do hope the owner is not a worse proposition! I had that experience up at Asquith when the family moved out next door and the {expletive} landlord decided he owned the whole street... long story and rather unpleasant.
May it be a quick and smooth transition from old to new...
Your garden continues to shed its delights over the ether! YAM xx
No the landlord is ok and he is 68 so not in a hurry for anything I just hope he lives for many years because his kids are a different story.
DeleteMerle......
It does look sad and neglected, I hope you get to take an occasional photo of the rebuild as it happens. I love watching new homes get built.
ReplyDeleteIf he does rebuild you will get a running report.
DeleteMerle......
Gee, your first few photos are very atmospheric.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I liked the look.
DeleteMerle.......
Empty houses always looks so sad, let's hope the new has has nice people!
ReplyDeleteJane x
Me too.
DeleteMerle....
I hope the cats appreciate a new house. They will have something to watch during the building of it.
ReplyDeleteI think they like the old house new places to explore.
DeleteMerle...........
you have such a lovely garden I hope the noise is not to bad with the build, too bad they wouldn't just fix this one,
ReplyDeleteNot sure the build will go ahead I hope it doesn't I like the old house it was built just after ours was built.
DeleteMerle.....
Silly kitties! Ah Angus, MAC loves to lounge in a sunray as well!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the scent of jasmine Merle and Honeysuckle in particular.
Wishing you a lovely day,
I can live with jasmine but honeysuckle plays up with my nose.
DeleteMerle..........
I'm the opposite, jasmine just about kills me, but I love honeysuckle.
DeleteLove your garden! I bet it smells amazing and what a handsome dog!
ReplyDeleteHello.....
ReplyDeleteMerle....
He is a handsome fellow he goes home today I will miss him.
ReplyDeleteMerle..........
I hope your neighbor did a good job on trimming your tree!
ReplyDeleteWell it is certainly trimmed to an inch of its life.
DeleteMerle...........
I love the two cats in the window! Glad everyone is getting along, Angus looks very contented in the sunshine. Too bad about the lonely house. I think Jasmine in the garden must be the most wonderful thing. xo
ReplyDeleteAngus has gone home now, they all got on a lot better than I expected.
DeleteMerle.......
Merle, the pics of the cats on the windowsill are truly lovely!
ReplyDeleteThe light is wonderful!
Glad to hear the "fur-kids" got on so well.
Your garden is looking good and I know it is pretty fragrant with all that jasmine blooming!
It will be interesting to see if the extra sun makes any difference to how things grow for you now.
I feel sorry for that poor old house..hope something nice (and quiet) is going to happen next door to you!
love..Trish
I'm happy from it to remain vacant for a while, it's so quiet now, I expect if they pull it down then the noise will start.
ReplyDeleteMerle.................
Glad to hear all your cats and dog got on well together. I'm still hoping that one day our newly adopted rescue cat will be able to come and live in the house but so far our dogs aren't having a bar of it! She's happy enough living in the garage with a sunny back porch and cat flap out to the garden but come winter here I'd like her to be in front of the fire - maybe one day!! Your garden looks lovely. I'm glad for your that your noisy neighbours moved out - hope that when the house gets rebuilt your new neighbour will be quieter!
ReplyDeleteShe is the only cat with how many dogs, we once had three dogs and one cat but she would stand up to them and they were a bit afraid of her so she went where ever she wanted to go, not all cats act that way.
DeleteMerle.........
Well I hope some great people move there and it is not too bad for you!
ReplyDeleteStill nothing happening next door, I'm enjoying the peace.
