Looking up and a old school get together.

The days are getting longer, it was a cold and windy day and all the cloudy had blown away just before it set and we watched this soft yellow settle on the distant trees, it didn't last long but I captured it just before the light disappeared.

Off today for lunch at Parramatta, I'm meeting some old school chums, it's been a long time, some of these people I haven't seen for 45years, now that's a long time.
A couple pictures of Parramatta river, I was a bit early also picked up  a new pair of shoes a lot of sales at the moment.

Well here we are all chatting about things that happened many years ago and what our life is like now.   It was a long lunch took up most of the afternoon but so much fun like a visit down memory lane.

It's a lovely clear morning and my trees are just breaking into new leaves a bit early so of the old ones are still there, we haven't finished winter yet, but spring is impatient this year.

  2. I love that soft yellow that settles just before sunset. Even more when it spreads like a golden glow so that the very air is coloured, which doesn't happen often.

Your lunch meeting looks like you all had a fabulous time. Was it hard to recognise everybody after all those years? I haven't been in school since 1967 and I'm sure I wouldn't know even one person by now.

    1. Some people look the same, I think we are all a bit fatter and a few extra lines but I left school when I was 16 so there was bound to be a few differences but you can still the teenager in most of them but some do look very different .

    1. Yes it is very close but that's not the back of the house, it's an inclosed area and the roof is not attached to the house roof but we are considering cutting it down the other building is the shed and that full of the beer fairy's and other peoples junk not mine well a bit of mine.

I bet you had fun catching up with your old school friends!
Wonder where all mine are these days...!?
Spring is starting to show up around here this week.
Some cherry and pear trees are beginning to blossom - yay!
    I LOVE spring!!
That late afternoon light can be magical when it hits the trees!
I like the way your tree is resting on the shed, even if it is a bit "dicey".
I remember stopping by some school friends houses on the way home to their climb mulberry trees and pick fruit to take home to Mum. She made yummy mulberry pies which Dad adored.
The leaves were for my silkworms who lived in a shoebox under my bed.
That was back in the day when I was young..and very light.. hehe!

    love ..Trish x

It must have been wonderful to catch up and take that walk down memory lane! A lovely group of happy ladies and you got a new pair of shoes, too! Love the light captured in the trees. xo
