This is Who but she doesn't care.
She wasn't concerned even when Angus come close for a kiss.
But this is lazy, I now know how to make the bed with her asleep on it she just curled up in a ball and stayed there while everything got moved and straightened all around her, what a life.
Still in the same spot 6 hours later
It was so warm this week I moved my ferns out of the sun, I don't have much luck with ferns these are all newish but we are still in winter but it is almost like spring at the moment maybe a hot summer coming up.
I planted this rosemary bush, one of my neighbours pulled it out to put up a new fence so he gave me the stumps, it was a huge bush so we cut it back and replanted it hope it takes off.
And my frangapanny (lets face it I just can't spell ) had rotted a branch off so that got trimmed up and replanted too.
And a new rose why this picture has a corner missing is anyones guess.
Have I ever shown you this before.
or my little wheel barrow, my son made this out of fence palings.
Another rosemary plant if they all take I will have the stuff growing out of my ears.
No herbs have died so far thats pretty good.
Look at that lemon or lime flower buds, last year the tree had a lot of flowers and produced two little green lemons, I waited for weeks for them to ripen but they never did so I was entertaining the idea that it might be a lime tree not a lemon.
I'm not sure what this is but it was my effort to try and build a fence out of bamboo.
I always enjoy looking a pictures of plants and gardens. It looks like it occupies all your days, the same as my yard. I have to get at some outdoor painting before the snowballs start hitting me.
ReplyDeleteThat cat is amazing to sleep right through the bed making. My cat would wake up.
Not all my days but most afternoons are spent in the gardens when the weather is good.

I plant things people give me with no idea what they are. I moved a big bushy plant this spring and put it by the front steps. I thought it was a lavender. My daughter said it was rosemary. "But my friend said it was lavender." My daughter broke off a piece to smell. It was rosemary.
ReplyDeleteThey both look the same but smell will always give them away.
DeleteMerle..............
I've grown both and they don't look at all the same.
DeleteYour kitty has a comfy spot on the bed! Gardening is fun and fulfilling hobby. Your garden is lovely and I like all your cute bird ornaments. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteCat are amazing how much they sleep.

ReplyDeleteOh what a wonderful garden! I love all the variety and the useful plants. Rosemary is certainly hardy so I hope you don't get swamped with it. YAM xx
I am very fond of lamb so I use it in cooking a fair bit, also I have lots of bunches all over the house it keeps mozzies away to some extent without cemicals so thats pretty good .
DeleteMerle...........
I do hope that your rosemary and your frangipani take off. It is too cold for frangipani here.
ReplyDeleteI love your garden, and also share my world with a cat who believes that the world is (or should be) designed for HIS comfort. And, if I wake him when I am bed making he swears and slashes.
I have 4 cats that live inside most of the time and 1 that is a stray and won't let you near him but I feed him. One sleeps like a log the one on the bed, two that wake with a slight noise and one who lives a whole life in her sleep, she laughs snores and makes strange growling noises, she must dream a lot.

Hello Merle...You are working very hard on your garden! Good for you. It is looking great.
ReplyDeleteAnd the kitty. Oh my. She must LOVE living in the lap of luxury! She'd get along just fine with my Honey Cat. Another prima donna! ha ha ha
Gosh, we are still in summer but it's on the wane. You are in winter, on the wane?
Take care. Susan
Cats do know how to live nothing much bothers them.

ReplyDeleteHello
DeleteMerle......
That napping cat has the right idea.
ReplyDeleteShe sure does.

I will try. I love frangipanni. They are hard to grow here. You need a north facing brick wall behind them to keep them a bit warmer at night as the bricks release their heat.
ReplyDeleteI had a go at 4, 2 died in a few weeks 1 is going well in the garden but this one in the pot is a dark pink one not as nice smelling as the common yellow one but much rarer so I don't want to lose this little one.
DeleteThanks I now know how to spell frangipanni.
Merle......
Your kitties know a good soft spot when they find one! I wouldn't want to budge either! But I suppose we have to make the effort every day or nothing would ever get done! Hope your rosemary 'takes' and your frangipanni tree, whatever that is. I want it to grow just so I can see what it is! Love your little wheelbarrow. Hope the weather stays warm for you. xoxo
ReplyDeleteIf my frangipanni takes off I will show you what it looks like they are known for their wonderful smell but they have a very pretty flower too.
DeleteMerle.....
Place your ferns where they will get filtered sunlight, under a shady tree where the sun comes through the branches is a good spot. I've never had any luck with Frangipanis, I almost had one going in my previous yard, but the flower died before blooming, then the whole thing died back. I love your little blue barrow! I would suggest picking one of the fruits this time and you'll know for sure if it is lemon or lime.
ReplyDeleteI have whipped them under cover quick because I had it in the winter sunshine i did't think it was to strong but it was.
DeleteI had a few deaths in the frangipanis, they rotted too much water but I hopeful about this one.
I picked one last year while still green, it smelled like a lemon but tastes like a lime so it's a bit odd.
