A busy week, sun in winter, and a sore nose.

It was a busy week the beer fairy was away visiting his family for a few days up in Eugowra, the son was down from Brisbane doing final work on his house only the bathroom to go now then he is renting it out to a friend of his for a couple of years so one more visit to go then it's all ready.
This is the bathroom new walls and ceiling the tiler comes next week then just painting and final touches.

The hallway all painted and new doors.
He repainted this wall as it was very dark and I like it better white.

Such a big wardrobe a walk in one this is one side.

This is the other.
New light shades
and bath, I was amazed at the prices of free standing ones, they are the fashion at the moment and ten times the price of these ones, you have to build a frame for these but that only about 50 dollars worth of wood.

I went to the hardware supermarket with him to pick up supplies so I got this fire hydrant everyone needs one wonder if Angus will like it, he is visiting soon.

I love this picture, the beer fairy was missed by Drummy wonder what they are talking about.
Drummy is shut in every night at sunset and let out every morning at about 9am, I have always bought free range eggs but people who keep hens in a cage are monsters as they are the most industrious animals she loves her freedom and spend the day wondering around eating snails and digging. We thing she has stopped laying for the winter now as no eggs for nearly a week.

I got this from my sons house I think it's a weed but I like it we will see what it does .

Winter sunshine my trees have lost most of their leaves so mild sun everywhere but the nights are freezing because of the clear skies.

My outdoor setting great in summer, too cold now.
The neighbours clothes lines not much room hope they have a dryer.

Even the jackeranders leaves are falling, in a few months masses of purple flowers.
My gate way has more things on it now
The new house down the road is finished on the outside

My poor Leroy had a fight the other night no one hear a thing but she had a wound on her nose, it healing now but she didn't want me to take a picture her good looks were spoiled she turned her face when I snapped her.

    1. The only thing he doesn't do is tiling, he tiled the kitchen floor and has never been happy with it, it is very hard to get it right.

  3. Your son did a great job on the remodel! Drummy has the best life - even good conversation, too. Your garden looks good even in fall and I love that big tree that gets the purple flowers! Sorry for Leroy - hope it doesn't leave a scar :(

    1. It's amazing when you talk to animals how they talk back, we are not talking the same language but it doesn't matter.

    1. He is a real handyman and as his job is not active as most these days so he likes doing things. I've got some plans when he runs out of things to do, but I have't told him yet.

  6. Love the fire hydrant and those new light shade are very nice. I used to have a walk in wardrobe, gosh I miss that space.
Keep an eye on Leroy's wound, I hope it heals. My daughter's older cat had what we thought was a wound, but it didn't heal and was a cancer that ate away his nose and upper lip. We think he died soon after, he just disappeared, we think he went off to die like cats will do.

  9. Your son is an accomplished builder, I'd say, and decorator, too. Love the lamp shades. Yes, keep an eye on the kitty; their wounds tend to abscess, which I'm sure you know.

  15. I really like your thought on letting your chicken out during the day!! That's what makes her eggs so tasty!! Her eating the bugs out of your garden!! With all your tropical plants, I can't imagine it ever being too cold to sit out on your patio!! All your plants are lovely!
