SO THATS ALL READY TO BE PUT UP NOW. |
I MADE THIS IT'S A BIT ODD TOO BUT IT GOES WITH THE CURTAINS. |
AND I MADE THIS ONE TOO, IT DOESN'T GO WITH ANYTHING BUT GIVE A NICE BLUE GLOW WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON. |
THIS ONE IS VERY ODD BUT I LIKE IT. |
THESE ARE THE OTHER THREE, MAYBE I COULD PUT CANDLES IN THEM. |
THIS IS WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE WHEN AL TOGETHER. |
THIS ONE WAS REPLACED A FEW WEEKS BACK. |
NOT SURE WHAT TO DO WITH THIS ANY IDEAS. |
I DO THINK THIS IS A CREATION AND A HALF WHAT DO YOU THINK. |
Those light fittings certainly are....ummmm...unique.
ReplyDeleteThe 60 year old model looks pretty good!
Nothing at all like me.
I have the belly overhang and varicose veins.
Unique is a good word for them.

Hi Merle....Yes, you do, indeed, have very different light fixtures! Unique.
ReplyDeleteThe recipe in my post today serves 8 people! It's a yummy one. Have a wonderful day today. Susan
So I have to cut down the makings a fair bit.

I like the plaster on your ceilings best of all. I've not seen anything like it, as I know I've mentioned before.
ReplyDeleteI always liked the ceilings they are rare and it was a deciding point in buying the house.
DeleteMerle..........
You have some very unusual light fixtures for sure!;>) I love those plaster ceilings. They are gorgeous- lots of character. How nice to see a 60 year old model...it's about time- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting for a 70 year model now.
DeleteMerle......
Love your lights and their shades!!! From what I can see of your home it is a style of an era that I love! I am not into chrome and glass...it's just not me.
ReplyDeleteThe models look terrific and yes, I agree, we need a more realistic mind for what people look like!
Jan
It was built in the late 20's but they used the federation style mainly.
DeleteMerle.......
What a variety of lighting fixtures! I do love your ceilings too! Yup, that 60 year old model looks mighty fine. This 60+ model needs some serious work!
ReplyDeleteThere was only one picture of her but it's a start.
DeleteMerle......
Hi Merle, love the variety of light shades! The 60 yr model looks great. I think they should use more everyday people of all sizes and shapes.
ReplyDeleteI do too, it is more realistic to show clothes on everyday people as you get some idea of what you will look like in them.
DeleteMerle...........
She looks great! The not THAT old and not THAT fat model. ; >
ReplyDeleteYou have some of the most creative lighting! I do like the paper lantern one and I'm pretty sure you could find some fun DIYs on Pinterest for ideas on what to do with your light fixture.
I will try that.
DeleteMerle......
Love those lights AND the ceilings! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI do like my ceilings but the light fittings i'm not so sure.
DeleteMerle.....
Gosh your home is so beautiful and different Merle. Love it. sandie
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteMerle..........
I love the first light fitting. It is a classic. We once had similar ceilings and no matter how many times we painted them, they would quickly start peeling. We then painted them with a gloss oil paint, and then a couple of coats of water based paint, and they never peeled again.
ReplyDeleteThat light fitting was here when we moved in, there were others but they were just too bright, three of the long globes produce a blast of light when you turn the light on, thats why I never replaced the missing one.
DeleteMerle.......
I hasten to add that was when we were young and very energetic.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean.
DeleteMerle........
I love your new hanging lamp - it looks really nice in your pretty room! You could turn the old lamp into an outdoor chandelier for your amazing garden. Your lamps are great - so creative...! xo
ReplyDeleteThats not a bad idea if I sort out a way of doing it I will show the result.
DeleteMerle................
I have never seen a light fixture like the first one. It is very unique! I love the idea of using the globes as vases. Sorry I haven't visited for a while, I've been on vacation.
ReplyDeleteI think they are from the 60's and not to many around.
