Winter is coming the garden needs a bit of a reshuffle, I am repotting some bromiliads ( not sure how to spell that) that my friend gave me these are a lovely colour. |
This fellow was growing out the bottom of the pot so he got a new home too. |
This one sits on my table, pretty blue berries. |
Angus is a beautiful fellow, he is helping me in the garden today. |
The days are shorter and not as warm. |
Some food here not much but I will eat it anyway, I must have dropped some of my lunch, Angus is good at cleaning up. |
New plants just planted. |
"Hey must be time for a snack" he looks like that is what he is saying. |
Dark patches in the garden now. |
Only a few flowers now. |
It's getting dark and cool time to go inside now. |
Hi Merle.... I'm glad you like the Bromiliads.....they look lovely in your garden.

I got most of it sorted out before the rain hit and Ian bought back some horse or cow poo not sure which so that got raked into the soil too so nothing much to do till Spring.
DeleteMerle.....
Angus looks like such a peaceful old fellow to tag along in the garden.
ReplyDeleteHe is good company and he lets you know when the phone rings or someone is at the door.

Oh! I love Angus' little face, he reminds me of 'Mac'!
ReplyDeleteThe Bromiliad is beautiful. Ladies, you have a green thumb!
I hope they all do well but this winter might be cold, I not sure how the go if we get frosts.
ReplyDeleteMerle........
Angus is so cute and your garden is so pretty. I can't believe that it is going to winter there - and summer here - that is so funny. sandie
ReplyDeleteThe last couple of days still feel like summer but the nights are getting colder.

Very pretty garden, Merle! I do love the Bromiliad blossom! Sad to put it to bed for the winter, isn't it? How sweet that you have a pet pigeon and Angus is darling. xx
ReplyDeletePidge is not really a pet he is free to come and go but he is home every night.

Hello Merle...
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all your sweet visits to my blog.
Oh, your garden looks so lovely.
Isn't it funny how just as we here, in western Massachusetts, are getting ready for spring, you are preparing for winter? Amazing.
Gargy is a dear. Handsome, handsome kitty. So serious!
And your photos, Merle? BEAUTIFUL! Is that your new camera? Oh, you are doing a fine job!
Hope your weekend is good. Susan
Thats my new camera I still don't know what all the bits do yet but I 'm getting better I think.

Oooh. I do like your garden - thank you so much for the tour. I am in the throes of getting ours ready for spring. Much weeding, and planting of spring bulbs. Angus looks to be a sweetie, but Gargy has won my heart.
ReplyDeleteGargy was a wonderful cat sadly she is no longer with us.
DeleteMerle.....
I am so sorry. They wind their paws into our heart strings and take a piece of us with them when they leave.
DeleteHi Merle! your garden is wonderful! my yard is mostly grass except for a few spots around the house...we are working on it but we don't have green thumbs...lol! I love the pics and angus is a sweetie pie. Spring has finally arrived here but I wish we were still in winter. I don't like summer and all the heat especially since I have more staining to do this year...ugh! Well friend, have a great day! Hugs Jennfer
ReplyDeleteIs summer very hot where you are we had some very hot days but most of the time it wasn't to bad here this year.
DeleteMerle..........
