As you can see greenery everywhere, there was a empty space in there somewhere and a chair. |
I started on this side last week so there is a bit of space in the middle. |
It's a great day today mild but warm sunshine and a nice breeze. |
Well must get started. |
I have chopped away lots of greenery. |
A lot of dead stuff under the greenery. |
This is the pile I've cut off. |
And look I've found the chair |
Well it's after lunch, the beer fairy did that, it was kids spaghetti bolognaise on toast, he is doing tea tonight I hope thats better he is making kafter balls with vegs, he is pretty good at that. |
look you can see some wall. |
and some ground, there was some red bark here but all broken down now. |
She has an area on the front porch where she sleeps an eats but I often wake up and she is sitting in my bedroom window waiting for me to get up. |
Easier to get and down the front steps now but not as pretty. |
We have had a very dry season. Some of your moisture would be very welcome.
ReplyDeleteYour gardening/tidying is much further advanced that mine. Slow steps at the moment.
And your stray is a beautiful girl. I do hope she fully accepts you soon.
It's raining again today, I'm sure we are getting NZ's rain, I'm happy to send it to who ever wants it but it's very good for the garden.

Wow! That was quite a job! I think it looks really nice all neatened up...although I do love the lushness of a jungle! Hope your eventually win your kitty over....xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI am a bit sore today and i still have a few jungle areas around the back, I will not thin them out.

You inspire me to get my grandchildren on the hands and knees, dealing with the front garden come summer. The little cat is so interesting. I like black and whites.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had grandchildren that would get down on their hand and knees, my knees are a bit creeky these days.
DeleteMerle......
You sure worked hard!!! And the little kitty is so cute! sandie
ReplyDeleteI get today off, bingo today and it's raining.
ReplyDeleteShe has the sweetest face.
Merle.....
Looking good Merle!
ReplyDeleteClearing away the overgrowth is hard work but so rewarding.
Snotts is certainly looking well cared for now!
She sounds a bit like our old cat Bob.
We had him for many years but he got cancer on his pink nose and we had to say goodbye. He was brave and fought off two snakes in our backyard - we loved him a lot.
He was a feral kitten who didn't sit on your lap but showed us affection "in his own way" - he was black and white too :-)
love..Trish
I tell you I'm a bit sore today, like the story of your little stray, they do have character.
ReplyDeleteMerle.......
WOW!! How nice - you can get up and down your steps. You have some lovely ferns. Hope you're careful about what you're cutting back. So many established, lovely plants!!
ReplyDeleteMainly cutting back plumbago it is very fast growing and if you cut it back in Autumn you get lots of flowers in Spring, it seems to refresh the bush.
DeleteMerle........
Hi Merle ... front steps are looking good..... safety before beauty.
ReplyDeleteYou sure are working hard......Snotts is so healthy now, well done.
OOne day of rain and your Plumbago will take off again, it grows so fast...
Hugs...

It sure does.

Kafter balls? You've got my interest now, what are they and can you post a recipe please?
ReplyDeleteI love your cats, snotts is a little cutie and will soon enough trust you. I'm always sad to hear of animals being wilfully mistreated.
Your garden is fabulous, so many plants.
You need a good Middle Eastern butcher or at least a one that sells kafter mince, it fat free mince with parsley and spices mixed in it trouble is I don't know what spices and you roll it into balls and fry it, tastes pretty good nice with salad or vegs.
DeleteLet me know if you like it.
