This was lunch pasta with bacon and mushrooms in a cream sauce, but the picture disappeared so did the pasta it was pretty good.
This is where Drummy lays her eggs and in the rain you get a shower every time you collect her rent. And she followers you to find out what you are doing .
I hide it in the pot plant and pretend I'm doing something to collect later.
I had a crop of toadstools up the back yard, half were eaten, Drummy must have had a good feed I was worried but they didn't seem to hurt her, hope they haven't poisoned her eggs, but these are safe ones.
Look at this it's the sun, it rained all morning now it's just beautiful how long will it last.
Even Drummy is amazed, she stood there and stared for a few minutes.
and this fellow is following it around
Maybe going to swing on the tree branch
My lime tree is full of flowers hope I get some limes this year usually I get about 5.
The tiles I'm pulling up it's a new path talk about recycling.
I'm getting there slowly.
Now that's jasmine, it smells wonderful, my son hates it brings on his hay fever.
But the bare branches and the blue sky makes a great picture.
The other trees have their spring leaves.
This is the other side of my bathroom
No one has ever used the spa it was installed in a bad drought and we had water restrictions so it was never connected to the pump the most expensive shower tray in the world.
Lots of lovely pics! I bet you're glad of the invention of the digital camera. Imagine the cost of film otherwise :)
ReplyDeleteIt sure is cheaper and the one that don't turn out are easily deleted.

Loving your sunshine friend! And your sweet Drummy as well! What a pretty garden you have friend! Enjoy the start of spring! Nicole xo
ReplyDeleteBig fog this morning usually a sunny day after fog,
DeleteMerle....................
Love, love, love your garden.
ReplyDeleteAnd the elegance of those bare branches against the sky.
No rain here yet. Sigh.
I think it's stopped here maybe heading your way.
DeleteMerle............
I was scrolling through and thinking, Gee, I'd love to spend some time in this garden! then you showed the jasmine and now I'm glad you're so far away.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a beautiful garden. You've made a lot of progress removing those tiles and using them to make a new path is a great idea.
Do you suffer with hay fever not a nice thing.
DeleteI was happy with the path.
Merle................
How do you think you would go operating a jack hammer? That would make short work of the laundry tiles.
ReplyDeleteMy shoulders would not stand for it, they are not to happy with a jimmy bar and hammer but I only do a bit at a time.
DeleteMerle...........
I so love your garden and it looks amazing with the sunshine and Dummy looking on,lovely pic.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea to recycle the tiles to the garden. They would cost a mint to buy.
Can sympathise with your son,I'm suffering with it too at the moment since the street tree got it's highly scented flowers.
They should do non smelly trees in the street as some people do suffer ours are gums and some other weird looking thing but no flowers.

Haha. We have a tub like that. My BIL had to have it when their bathroom was remodeled. Took four men to carry it up stairs. His nieces and nephews used it once, about 15 years ago. Otherwise, it's a giant dirty clothes hamper.
ReplyDeleteOurs is light, as we moved it around a bit when we put it in, the latest thing at the time but never any real use.
DeleteMerle..........
very entertaining post. I would love to have Drummy. It looks like you have taken on quite the job getting those tiles up. What will you do when its done?........could be awhile right.. Ah well, a great job when feeling frustrated maybe. Take a sledgehammer haha.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed my visit
Janice
I have a small sledgehammer and yes good when you are annoyed or upset with the world.
ReplyDeleteMerle..........
I always love to see Drummy out and about. Enjoying the garden, no doubt!
ReplyDeleteShe does the weeding but has trouble telling the difference between plants ands weeds.

Aahh the jasmine, I can smell it from here. I'm not sure you know, but the white flowers on my Header is the jasmine. They grow in my back yard in the spring. I LOVE their scent. It's always nice to see Drummy pecking around the garden. I didn't know your bathroom is purple? Is that lavender in the corner? Purple is my very favorite color. And that tree picture is gorgeous. I took a few pics of the trees today at the park. They fascinate me.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are enjoying your spring, Merle.
love,
~Sheri
It sounds like jasmine, there are a few different different sorts but the common one I think smells the best.
DeleteIt's not real lavender I have it growing in the garden and the bees love it but they come inside if I put it near a open window and the bathroom window is mostly open so I had bees bussing around the bathroom, they get into a bit panic if they can't find the way out.
I'm very fond of trees too.
Merle........
I'd love to be able to smell that Jasmine- it's intoxicating! I love to see those sunflowers- they are such a happy addition. I need to grow some of my own. It's nice that they have smaller ones with such pretty faces!Too bad about your tub- I have one but rarely use it anymore. I told the hubby we need to remove it and make it a big shower. I've had some knee problems this year and climbing into it worries me. Looks like that tile project is laborious- like you said a little at a time and you'll get there!
ReplyDeleteWe will most likely do the same with our spa they are harder to get in and out of as you get older.
