She has a windmill too and it doesn't work but it's much more realistic than mine this one looks like a windmill.
These are pretty flowers you always need pretty flowers,
And I have always liked her mural just outside the back door.
These are nice green ferns.
And tis flower is just so lovely.
As are the broms
and we can't forget Kyton the dog he stood so still and posed for me.
Next it was off to my daughters house to stay the night, we had lots of chats and a very good Thi dinner.
Angus is always good for a few photos
I just like these things ,
Some new fruit trees.
On Sunday just down the road and across the street there was a wedding.
All the wedding guests climbed into the big red bus and the wedding party into the old english taxies.
There was a guy with a rather large drum and he banged away on it so most of the street came out to see what was happening we are a curious bunch.
And they rode off into the sunset and around the corner, hope all goes well for the young couple.
I am glad the rain has stopped. Your friends place is nice, the plants, flowers, windmill and the puppy dog are beautiful. And what a cool wedding to ride off in a double decker bus..Great shots, enjoy your day and the week ahead!
ReplyDeleteThe sun is shining but windy today but no rain so far that's always good.

beautiful plants, the one plant looks like it grows attached to the wall! That Angus is a handsome fella!
ReplyDeleteAngus is always good in photos but a bit smelly at the moment, not warm enough for regular baths yet.
DeleteMerle............
I was intrigued by the plant growing from the wall. I suppose there is a pot, but I couldn't make it out.
ReplyDeleteNo pot it grows on the wall, somewhere in there is a wood base it was attached to most likely at some stage.
DeleteMerle.........
Blessings to that young couple! Your plants are just amazing-so different from what we have here. Hoping you have a wonderful Sunday...and I love your doggy photo bomber! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteps. I don't usually ask people to go to my blog BUT-If you get a chance swing by my blog. A little boy is lost in the mountains and the family is asking for prayer.
Glad the little fellow was found safe and well.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely visit to other places and sights, enjoyment of spring and new lives joining. In the last shot Angus is saying - finally, she got my best side! Happy weekend!!! YAM xx
It took a while I always try to get the tail standing up, it's his best feature.
DeleteMerle............
The bus is a lovely idea! This way no one in the wedding party gets lost, driving from one place to another. I'm glad you had such a lovely time at Barbara's. :)
ReplyDeleteYou have got a point it's a way to keep everyone together.
DeleteMerle...................

A lot of my Brom's came from Barbara's place they form lots of babies.
DeleteMerle.............
That is a novel idea for a wedding. I wonder if the couple are English born.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know they are middle eastern but maybe the other side of the marriage was English .
DeleteMerle..................
Hi Merle - lots of fun things you have shown us today. Love your friend's mural and exotic flowers and plants. Nice that you got to spend time with your daughter and Angus. Love the last photo of him - he has such a funny personality. I like your daughter's chairs. Love how the wedding party used the big bus and the old taxi's. A nice way to end the wedding. Hope you have a good week! xo Karen
ReplyDeleteIt was a good weekend, lots of activity and good company.

ReplyDeleteThe dogs are the stars, along with the cats, they get a bit put out if not mentioned.
DeleteMerle.........
Merle,
ReplyDeleteIt's nice that you got to spend time with your daughter and chat all night long. Angus is sooo cute. I've never seen a flower like that red one. It's so interesting and pretty. You got to witness a wedding, how special is that! That red bus is cool for the wedding party.
Have a great week, Merle.
love,
~Sheri
They were a bit noisy when they came back in the middle of the night, the beer fairy heard them, I was asleep.
DeleteMerle............
I love seeing wedding cars! and the bus is a great idea. That will be a wedding to remember for sure.
ReplyDeleteI like all the things in Barbara's yard, so green and pretty, just like yours, but different plants.
The red zygo-cactus flower is very bright, my mum grew pink ones, but mine never flowered.
The bus was a great idea, but they dropped off all the guests at the parents place, lots were very merry then got in their cars and drove away not a good idea .
DeleteDo the zygo-catcus grow from a cuttings.
Merle...............
yes, they do grow from cuttings, but I'm not sure if you have to pick a certain time of year, ask around maybe someone else can tell you.
ReplyDeleteLove your little pooches and the corgi - i think they are so cute. And i want to ride on those double decker buses.
ReplyDeleteHi Merle..I love that red bus...what a great idea!! Your garden is looking a s lovely as ever :) ...Trish ..xox
