This must be very interesting she is really paying attention.
Drummy is eating her greens
I have a few flowers in my garden
But they are few
and even the bogenvillia has stopped flowering.
This one is having a go
and these are colourful
one lone daisy
Hodie is hiding under the ferns
She's a bit shy
The only difference between the twins is this one has one grey leg and the other one two white legs a lot of our visitors think they are the same cat.
The garden next door, well it's a start.
but only a little one
She sometimes has yellow eyes in photos
Kidney is sound asleep
Leroy just dosey.
This is me, my sister and mum it was such a small photo and black and white so I did it in the sepia tones as I have no idea what the colours were, I'm the one in the bonnet.
Well bye from us we are off to raid the kitchen and have a hot drink it's 6c in my place this morning and I'm cold have a warm day noticed she has changed sides.
oh what handsome cats, your garden is lovely,
ReplyDeleteNaughty is a better word to discribe them.
DeleteMerle............
As usual, great garden and pet photos. I really like your sepia art work.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Deletemerle.......
Is that really a photo of you with your mom? Wow, so cute! Kidney looks incredibly comfy:) I'm feeling more like Leroy right now, watching soccer (aka football)...the hubby is glued to it!
ReplyDeleteNo it's a painting.
DeleteI didn't think soccer was big in the US it is growing here, we are rated 32 or something but the way it's reported here you would think we were going to win, but always good to look at the impossible.
Merle.............
A shoulder cat would be cozy. Mine prefers to be draped along the back of the chair.
ReplyDeleteShe is warm and so soft.
DeleteMerle.......
Loving your garden - and your cats. Chilly here this morning as well.
ReplyDeleteIt's cold at the moment but spring will be here soon.
DeleteMerle............
I love seeing the flowers in your garden and Drummy eating her greens. She looks like she is enjoying them. Your neighbor's garden looks like most American Suburban yards. Plain grass.....yuck!
ReplyDeleteI do like the owner and his family but they are not gardeners.
DeleteMerle......
Kitties and gardens-two of my very favorite things! Hope you have a good rest of the day. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteTo tell the truth that is pretty much my life.
DeleteMerle...........
Your garden is still colourful with the bird of paradise, the cyclamen and coleus and that gorgeous fuschia.
ReplyDeleteI love how Mal sits on your shoulder, Angel prefers to sit right on the keyboard, or very close to it, which makes typing a little awkward.
That would be hard to type does she want to play the moving pictures.
Deletemine did.

ReplyDeleteMal likes the sunny side of the ...shoulder.. it seems!! Still good colour in the garden despite low temps. Adore the piccie of you and family. (whisper...the sun is shining here....shhhhhhh) YAM xx
The sun is shinning here today but still cold, well cold for us.
DeleteMerle...........
Your garden is much more interesting than the one next door! I think every week it changes so much. That or you are taking photos from several angles and I feel I am discovering new things. :)
ReplyDeleteYes it changes a lot as Drummy eats lots of things and some my plants have gone west.
DeleteMerle.......
One of my cats (Fleur) loves to hang out on my shoulders..it's lovely and cozy! Perhaps you could keep Mal there until it warms up.Stay warm (never thought I hear myself saying that to you (downunder)!!
ReplyDeleteJane x
Sydney often has a cold winter but it is usually not for long and no where near as cold as you get, we just winge a lot.
DeleteMerle...........
Merle,
ReplyDeleteI love this picture of you and your sister. At first I thought it was a professional painting. What a treasure this is, and it looks nice in the sepia tones. The pink flowers are so bright and pretty, and this is a cute picture of you and your cat. You can tell you love your pets so much........and they love you as well.
~Sheri
A couple of weeks ago I stayed two nights in a house with no pets, as everyone I stay with has a animal that lives with them I missed their company.
DeleteMerle.........
Any animal lover is a friend of mine. But I suspect you know that already.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics!
Sure do.
DeleteMerle..........
I wonder what she would think of Skype? Lol! Looks like everyone is enjoying the last of the flowers there (and a bit of greens, too!) I had an orange tabby just like Kidney and he slept in the oddest positions, too. So funny. Enjoy your hot drink - for me that is coffee with lots of cream. xo Karen
ReplyDeleteFor me it's tea after lunch coffee in the morning.
DeleteMerle........
Your photos are great. I love your cats, Merle, and the garden photos are so nice.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteMerle.......
That painting is brilliant! The tones you used were perfect! WOW! And your kittens are adorable...I will have you know that I almost came home with a kitten from my brothers farm!!! And let me just say that your garden is always a treat...the foliage is amazing! A wonderful week to you! Nicole xo
ReplyDeleteThe painting had to be sepia as the photo it was painted from was very tiny and black and white one.
DeleteWe are not allowed any more kittens as we have 4 and that's as much as our council allows but that's plenty.
Merle.........
Hello Merle...
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. Mal (the word for "bad" in Spanish), is cute to sit on your shoulder like that. Your garden looks lush.
Thanks for your visits Merle. Also for your comments. Love when you stop by. Susan
Hello Susan
Deletehow are you,her full name is Malicious, she was my sons cat and was always fighting with the others so she and her twin sister came to live with us, she still has a go at my other cats but they are older and don't fight so much so the world is happier.
Merle...........
Hi Merle,
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas Cactus is huge and beautiful!! All your plants seem to be tropical plants so it mustn't get too cold for you where you are living since this is winter for you guys!! Your kitties are adorable. You asked the difference between a shrimp and a prawn? The terms "prawn" and "shrimp" are used interchangeably and it does depend on where you live, as to which term will be used. Some people say that a shrimp is smaller - but I've seen and eaten shrimp the size of my hand and thought possibly it was a baby lobster - but wasn't!!
It's not cold only at night and we have a indoor fireplace which is in use every night at the moment .
DeleteMost of our plants are semi tropical but we do have some fir trees and ferns, they do ok but we must keep them cool in summer.
Ok so a prawn and shrimp are pretty much the same so they both taste pretty good.
Merle..................
You and Mal are a wonderful pair. I so enjoy visiting your home and gardens. It's really sweet to progress along with your family photos to the right side. A long happy trip it's been. Wishing you many, many more good times together.

Mal has spent the last couple of weeks in the sun on the front verandah in the mornings lately I think she is getting as much sun as she can get as nights are freezing and she spends the nights in front of the fire with all the other cats so I've lost my neck warmer.
DeleteMerle............
you are good with your art Merle; I would think you could get lost in time while painting
ReplyDeleteSometimes I do.
DeleteMerle...........
.... the flowers are lovely and add a nice touch of colour to the garden.......
ReplyDeleteLove the cats.... xxxx hugs Barb xxx
