Waterfalls near the lifts.
Birds on the rocks.
And lots of fish but they are a bit shy
Now this is my front verandah that I have started to give a second coat of paint to
I just paint around everything and then move things as the floor dries, will finish it off tomorrow as it's raining again.
So I will just amuse myself inside for a while till it stops.
This is where Kidney spent the morning, none of them like the wet weather much.
and I finally hung up my shoe rack, I can never find shoes in the wardrobe so here I can see them.
This is Monet's kitchen in France, I would love a place like this to cook in.
And his garden and below his house, we visited his home when we were in France a couple of years back and I just found these pictures the other day while cleaning up.
It was a beautiful place.
But my garden has picked up a lot with a week of on and off rain and I tossed around some blood and bone and fertilizer so that always helps.
I trying to build Drummie a home but the weather is not co operating.
But I'm not complaining as it is helping the garden after our long hot summer.
Well bye for now, time for tea.
Lovely photos. The French lake looks so nice. You haven't put your stilettos in your shoe rack? They must still be in the wardrobe. :-;
ReplyDeleteYes of course they are in there with the rubber gear and other stuff.

ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely club, most are very dated but this one updates every couple of months, they are always doing something.

Am glad you got back to Bingo. It's such a fun game and what a pretty place to play. Things are looking so pretty and green there Merle.
ReplyDeleteIt is a fun game.

Dear Merle...Loved your post. Your yard looks nice!
ReplyDeleteAnd the veranda floor, too. I'd love to see Monet's house. Have never been to Europe.
Merle, thanks so much for all your visits and comments. Susan
Monet's house and garden is very beautiful if you every go to France go and see it.

Are those Cabbage dolls I see? I got one at the ripe old age of 18, just because I wanted one so badly...she was the type that had the long silky hair. I gave her away to a friends little girl but I missed her for a long time!
ReplyDeleteThe dolls belonged to my daughter she outgrew them, but I didn't.

Love your garden - and Monet's too. Send some of your rain up here please. We could do with some more - though the garden and I loved what we did get.
ReplyDeleteIf you do a naked rain dance in the backyard you will get some.

Your garden, monet's garden and your bingo garden are all outstanding!!! Wow are you surrounded by beauty! Lovely week to you! Nicole xo
ReplyDeleteI loved Monet's garden we wondered around there most of the day.

plenty of wet here 250 mls/24 hours. Monets garden would've been a real treat
ReplyDeleteGood to see the rain.

Merle,
ReplyDeleteMonet's kitchen is so charming, and the garden is beautiful. It looks like such an enchanting place. I think I could stay out there for hours. The club where you play bingo is so nice too with the waterfalls and fish. I love bingo and haven't played it in a long time. I see bits of red in your kitchen. I also have splashes of red. I think red makes the kitchen so cozy.
Have a happy week.
Love,
~Sheri
I had to have another look that's my bedroom not my kitchen I wish my kitchen was that big but it's only tiny.

A bit of water always helps.

Hi Merle, thanks for the tropical views - I could sit by that waterfall all day, I think. Your garden is looking very happy for the drink of water. I love your bright red curtains, by the way! Hope you win big at Bingo. I just dreamed I won a million dollars. Yea - in my dreams......Maybe you will have some luck. xo Karen
ReplyDeleteLast week we all won a prize, this week only one of us won, you only win a meat tray but coming up to Easter and Christmas you can win hams, and they are very good.
DeleteMerle..............
What a beautiful location!! So glad you have a hobby like this. I would love to get away to a small tropical view here in PA!
ReplyDeleteWe are lucky we can grow most things here so parts of Sydney are very pretty other parts not so much.
DeleteMerle...............
It looks to me like your garden has survived the summer rather well. Your porch will look lovely when it is finished.
ReplyDeleteI don't like Monet's kitchen, but I love his garden!
I like the fish pond at the bingo club too, ponds without fish seem a little pointless.
I use the washing powder you can put on the garden so a lot of the water is the grey kind it helps things survive but the rain makes them grow, it's looking good now after a week of rain.

Seeing those tropical plants has me yearning for a vacation where it's warm :) Beautiful pictures, Merle. I can imagine playing Bingo there is quite lovey and relaxing!
ReplyDeleteHugs to you
You have had a cold winter we hope ours is not so bad.
ReplyDeleteMerle..............
Your garden's looking lush! I love verandahs, I don't think our UK climate would let that wooden floor stay like that for long!

Some nice shots. Good luck to you and your endeavours.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
