My Mum on a foggy morning

This is my mum she died 32 years ago and I still miss her but I have many fond memories.

This morning was the first fog of winter but has developed into a lovely sunny day. 

The whole family many years ago.

Autumn

In Autumn when the leaves do fall

And shadows lengthen on the wall

Flowers close their tiny heads

And tuck them in their cosy beds

Cooler mornings cold cold nights

But the days are still sunny and bright

Salads gone replaced by strews

Maybe time to drink more booze

I've written a poem, it's not too good but I like it. 

I am not having a good week with my cats, this is Snotts and she or he we still don't know has been fighting and has a wound over her eye but it's healing and she still will not let anyone too near her, she moved in with us about 3 months ago and is still very jumpy around people so I keep my distance so does the beer fairy he learnt the hard way, so their is nothing we can do for her but she has a comfortable bed and plenty of food.

I been working in the garden today lots of leaves to rake up.

The trees are thinning out but still have a lot to go.

My choko vine is taking off.

This one loses all his leaves too.

A few flowers left

but they are few and far between

This is unkillable but it looks like I have managed it.

What about this sunflowers in late Autumn they are fake but they do cheer the garden up.

The maple is starting to brown up soon it will be naked.

These are fake too.

But this is real she is wonderful, she been flowering for ages. 

The new room almost finished

Well this is my bedroom repainted, it's almost finished,  just a little bit in the corner is still red but I am not feeling too good at the moment I'm not sure if I have got a bug or it's a reaction from the paint but I will have a couple of days off till I feel better.

Most of my furniture is a bit odd, I really like this cupboard it's great for storing jumpers as the air is always circulating so they are always fresh, I  think it's a kitchen cupboard.

My snake charmers basket, I  have belts in it well they are almost snakes. A friend of mine gave it to me many years ago. 

This little cat is so sweet and causes no trouble not like the live ones.

This teapot lost his lid so he now just holds flowers.

It is a much more soothing colour.

New curtains.

Some of the painting were moved around but I kept this one on the yellow wall, I'm the one in the bonnet.

And this one fits in.

Everyone needs a fairy to read bedtime stories.

Leroy seems to like the new colour she has moved in.

Kidney is checking out under the bed.

And one of the twins is checking out Kidney .

painting the bedroom and a cat disaster

I was wondering if it was a good idea to paint my bedroom, it was bright red and not at all soothing, so I tried yellow.
Not too good yellow has trouble covering red, this was the first coat and I didn't have a lot of paint, my son had given me some in a clear bottle so I didn't know the colour and I mixed white with it because it was very bright.

This was the second coat not much better than the first.

The original colour was a bright and lively red.

Third is looking better,  four might do it but I will run out of paint. Change of plan I think I will try grey.

Well it covers much better than yellow, this is one coat, but grey a bit boring so I will keep the yellow feature wall it's the one with two doors in it so it looks different may as well make it stand out, it great painting weather at the moment mild but sunny and dry.

Lunch time I will finish after munchies.

Well that didn't work out too well this little ginger horror somehow managed to fall in the yellow paint lucky there was not a lot left, one of her back legs is covered in paint and she is not talking to me, I have been following her around with a wet washer trying to wash it. After lunch I found my kitchen was covered in yellow paw prints and the loungeroom too, you have to work fast as this new paint dries in 30 mts.

I got a lot of it off but was trying to get a picture of what was left but kidney is not in ant mood to have her photo taken.

She is doing a bit of frantic cleaning too.

The grey works a lot better.

Only one wall to go, but I'm tired it's been a busy day,  time to veg out in front of the TV before bed.
