Christmas, going to the fish market and cleaning the roof

This is my fairy picture it was looking a bit daggy so I gave it  a facelift.

This one was done a couple of months ago.

The beer fairy was busy this last couple of days we needed to trim the trees back they spread over the back of the house and drop leaves on the roof and the rainwater doesn't drain off very well so we get leaks in the house.

With the spring and summer growth you can't see the roof all done now.

I have some new plants after a shopping trip with my son and his wife.

May liked this one.

Joe liked this one

Cleaning our the gutters.

First flowers

This was where we had christmas dinner, it rained the whole day so no eating outside under the trees.

This where we were going to eat but too wet.

Water everywhere.

Angus had a T-bone steak, I will shampoo the mats when he goes home, he enjoyed his christmas dinner.

This is my son and daughter in law in Wentworth Park on the way to the fish market just before christmas we had a all seafood christmas dinner, something a bit different, it was early in the morning, that's Sydney skyline behind them.

Just some houses around the area to finish up with.

  1. Hello Merle...You love plants and have some beauties! Loved your tablecloth, too. How nice you have been celebrating the season. It's been great here, too. I'm kind of getting a little tired from all the socializing but I'm grateful, too. Take care, Merle, and have a good rest of the week! Thanks so much for all your visits! Susan

  6. Hope that you enjoyed your Christmas...it all looked lovely to me, even the rain. Beautiful table and linens and the red and green. It's always good to do the maintenance things so that the roof doesn't leak. We must shovel the snow from the roof here so it won't leak. Happy New Year to you and yours!

  8. Looks like you are having a good clean up,it's funny how it seems to always need that after Christmas. Wish we could get some rain. The water tank is just about on its last drop.
I love those old terrace houses, they are very Sydney aren't they. Happy New Year Merle. xx

    1. Hi Jeanetteann,
Hope you get rain soon, do you have town water too, my parents only had tank water and they were always running out, still some country areas that only have tanks here ,not many now. The terrace houses in the middle photo are new but the fit in well with the others.
      Happy new year.

    1. Hi Trish,
Happy new year to you too.
Are you ready for the heat wave that is about to hit.
The terrace houses look great not so good to live in all those stairs and so cold in winter.

  10. I love to read and see your outside photos since your season is so different from ours (and I'm more southerly than many in the US.) It's neat to me that you would normally eat Christmas outside. I love that little area and wish it hadn't rained!

    1. Hi Debbie,
This is a great time to eat out doors, this year is very dry not so many mozzies around.

  11. It is very busy at your house. I love the table and chairs in your yard. It's too bad it was too wet to eat Christmas dinner there. It was too cold and too much snow on the ground here for us to think about an outdoor Christmas dinner. laurie
