Hot, cold and wet weather, painting pictures and a naughty cat.

We had a few rainy days most of the fires are out only the ones down near the Victorian border are still going and they are pretty much under control but I've spent more time inside so started a few new paintings,
Is a bit on the cold side at the moment last week we had just one day at 110f I think that is about 45c and since then cool and today cold, so not so bad painting a fire, this one is called "cosy toes ", I have been going to put some in the gallery to see if I  can sell them but all the ones I  already have are not on the right boards  they have to be a certain thickness but they are not going to good at the moment.

Tom Tom is not popular at the moment I was defrosting some steak for tea but he thought it was a good idea to eat it  but couldn't finish it but got through half and we had to go buy a chicken for our tea there will be no more defrosting on the kitchen bench.
Do you think he looks sorry

I don't, more contented and full.

The second one is started

There was a break in the rain this afternoon  so just time for a few quick photos outside.

The strong man I found in the shed needed a shower I  think he was enjoying the rain.

We got half way through the mulching before the rains started now all wet and soggy but will get back to it when it clears up.
my herbs are now doing well

and the lemon tree looks better it was close to death
looking greener not so brown as it was

Yes, I too love your artworks, you know this! I didn't think galleries could stipulate what board you use... you are the artist after all! Don't let it put you off!!!

Jasper cat did that swiping of food thing to me once. Butter wouldn't melt in that cats mouth!!! YAM xx

  2. Love (and am awed) by your painting. As usual.
The garden looks like it is relishing the rain. Which we haven't had and nearby fires continue to burn out of control. I do hope that some of the rain promised for this weekend arrives.
And of course Tom Tom feels no guilt. Jazz certainly wouldn't. We once had a cat who would steal (and bring home) meat which neighbours had set out to thaw. He brought home fish, lamb chops...

  3. I've never known a cat to look sorry.
I like the paintings, and I like how wet the photos of outdoors look.

  4. Cosy Toes looks wonderful. I love your little mushrooms all over the garden and the little houses too, great fairy habitats. I'd put mine out if I had a fenced yard, but they're happy enough in the back porch.

  5. No, Tom Tom does not look guilty at all. Pity it wasn't the night your were going to have sausages rather than steak. Tom Tom likes the best cuts.

  8. I admire your talent for painting. I am not so inclined! Wish I was! I now have two cats, after years of not having even one, and nothing can be left out in the kitchen. They would eat it all.

  9. The paintings look great! The birdbath one is so sweet! I adore watching the birds visit the birdbath we have in the backyard garden.

All this rain has brought a cooler change which I'm loving. I hate the heat and humidity up here...we don't have air-con so it's like living in a sauna. We've had such crazy weather of late. The dreadful heat, out of season bushfires followed by torrential rain now causing flooding in areas.

As for Tom Tom — nope, he doesn't look one bit guilty. I'm lucky that my Kya isn't interested in jumping up on my kitchen benches but she's not a fan of meat anyways. She's a seafood gal.

Your garden looks lovely! At the moment, to walk on our lawn, it feels like walking on a very wet sponge. I'm not complaining though...we sure do need the rain.

Enjoy the rest of your week. :)
