A visitor from USA and our priceless jewels.

D from America is visiting us for a week then off to Melbourne and then off to Brisbane to visit the son and daughter in law.
Bo Peep was down to attend his daughters graduation not often he is so dressed up.
Popped in for a visit and a cupa in the back yard.
Drummy wanted to get into the picture.
Back into work gear he is off to his farm for a couple of days.
We were discussing opals this afternoon, so we ended up showing off our stones the beer fairy found this one in the back of a truck always pays to sweep them out and keep the cabin clean never know what you will find.

My black opal ring.
All these pears he found in trucks.
This is a pretty thing that started the whole conversation.
And D's black opal.

Even after visiting Coober Pedy, I found that opals are not a stone I desire to own - lovely to look at though! Mind you, finding them cabs like treasure is quite another thing. YAM xx

  7. My father was an amateur gemnologist. There were rocks everywhere. Some valuable, most not. All pretty.

    1. What can I say, the pearls are all different sizes and shapes not many are very round so not worth much.
