I found this somewhere in my shed I have no idea who owns it, it was very dirty so I cleaned it up and put it into a frame I had, it slipped a bit but will sort that out, someone has spent a long time doing the needlework and I quite like it.
Today is so sunny, I spent the whole day outside as did my two cats, Kidney is chasing lizards, they are all safe she never catches any, they are just to quick .
It is in the mid afternoon I like the shadows
and the spanish moss
My solar owl has lost his eye poor fellow.
This time of the afternoon the garden is in deep shadows nice and cooling after such a warm day.
Look lemons
The chillies are not too good does the plant have a limited life.
and limes this tree requires constant care some very smelly bugs are all over it they eat the young limes so every morning I pull them off and squash them but always wear gloves now I learnt the hard way.
The pond is cooling.
Flowers everywhere and the smell is lovely too.
Drummy likes the pond she often drinks out of it.
She should be careful one day she will fall in , it is a balancing act when the water drops.
But she doesn't mind.
I like the needlework too, Merle. It's always a pleasure to be in your sunny world
ReplyDeleteNot to sunny today, lots of wind and much cooler.
DeleteMerle.............
I do love your garden/jungle. We had a sunny day yesterday, but it is raining again today.
ReplyDeleteWe were cold today but no rain.
DeleteMerle...........
You have a lemon tree, Merle? It must feel nice going out to your yard on a sunny day. It's getting cooler here and Autumn is coming. The girl statue that I like is hiding behind what looks like lilies? Your pond looks calming. You have many interesting things to look at in your back yard.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week ahead, Merle.
love, ~Sheri
I have had that lemon tree for awhile now but never a lemon maybe this year usually they fall off.

ReplyDeleteWell as long as the water is never deeper than Drummy's neck, she'll be okay! Chooks can swim in emergency, but get very water-logged... chilis are perennials - that looks like it has been attacked by something or other. The garden is looking glorious though! YAM xx
Sometimes I give her a bath when it's very hot, she quite likes it I was surprised.
DeleteMerle...........
Chillies are perennials? Then ignore my comment down below.
Deletefurther info!... YAM xx
DeleteHello, Merle! It is great to sit outdoors and enjoy the sunshine. Your garden is so lush! Drummy is balancing well for that drink of water. Happy Monday, enjoy the new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteThe sunshine didn't last long yesterday was windy and overcast but today is looking better.
DeleteMerle.........
Hi Merle, fun to see your pretty gardens and all the wonderful things growing there. It does look like a nice oasis! Drummy might like splashing in the water if she does fall in, but she looks like she has a nice grip on things :) xx Karen
ReplyDeleteShe is not crazy about water, she does not like rain.
DeleteMerle...........
I love the glimpses you give readers of your yard and your life. Bet you enjoyed your reunion.
ReplyDeleteYes but you do run out of things to talk about, some people I just don't remember and it was not a chat about things in the past mainly about what is happening now I think a few of us had rusty memories.
DeleteMerle,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
yes, chillies have a limited life. They're like a tomato or capsicum plant, a year or two and you need to plant a new one.
ReplyDeleteThank you I didn't know that, I was worried it was just sick, I will get a new one.
DeleteMerle..........
Your garden is certainly growing after the winter, looks nice.
ReplyDeleteThe tapestry is good, someone spent a fair bit of time doing that.
It's as cold as winter again , crazy weather here.
DeleteMerle..........
You have a lovely, lush garden. I would definitely spend as much time out there as I could.
