Today is the first day of spring, lovely warm sunny day not a cloud in the sky but Leeroy decided to stay inside and try the new mat out, she is very fond of it, lately she has been spending the morning on my bed but today the floor and mat is the most popular place.
Where the beer fairy and I and of course Drummy are putting in a drain and bricking up the back area to one level.
We are using a FBH to break up the concrete, not as hard as I thought it would be.
All done but we are tired now finish it tomorrow, well maybe not as it's going to rain.
The beer fairy doing some tiding up.
Now it's time to sit by the outside fire and drink hot tea late afternoons and nights are still cold here.
We are in for two days of rain so no more out door work for a few days I'm off to visit my daughter, talk to you soon.
You got a LOT done, and that hot cuppa was definitely earned.
ReplyDeleteTypical Leeroy staying inside in comfort.
A hot cuppa went down well.

Leeroy looks very contented on your new rug. Great idea to put in a drainage system.
ReplyDeleteWe had floods in the last couple of years not much but the laundry often is damp with a bit of a smell about it.

Hello, Leeroy does looks comfy. It is so nice of Drummy to help out with the drain. The fire pit looks nice for a cool evening. Happy Friday, have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteDrummy just wants to eat any insects that are living in the bricks.

It's cool here, too, after a long spell of too much heat. I needed a jacket last night, or a warm place to snuggle, like Leroy.
ReplyDeleteIt is warming up here, about time too.
DeleteMerle..............
You have certainly been a busy little bee :) I always love seeing Drummy.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend, Merle! Hugs!
She is a bit of a character.

ReplyDeleteThe cat looks content and your husband is working hard there.
All good at this end, the weather is wonderful at the moment.

I haven't blogged in a while and playing "catch up!!" Now I see how you did the drain!! I'm going to have to check into something like this for our patio to help with the rain run off!! Possibly redirect the water into the garden boxes instead into the grass. Which then makes mud!!
ReplyDeleteI'm really impressed with your brick laying!! Looks awesome!!
This drain was easy to install, it just clicks together but don't know any thing about it, it was left by my son so the price was right too.
