Spring is here time to get busy.

I am being annoyed by lots of crank phone calls lately is Spring the time of year they all come out , the beer fairy even got one on his mobile the other day but as he never answers it in the day it is usually left in some odd place beeping away saying please answer me but that falls on deaf ears and I do mean deaf ears.
Between 5 and 9 at night I am thinking of just taking it off the hook but that stops the calls I want to talk to so that will not work, some are rude and abusive but that's ok I can be rude and abusive too.
Well that's my whinge out of the way, sorry I been a big neglectful lately but it is spring and the best place to be is outside so here is what I've been up to.
My pond is in position it's only taken 3 or 4 years.
I'm doing lots of jobs this year, the water level looks right and pretty even and I used the busted up concrete from the area where we put the bricks so doing my bit for recycling also this area is completely fenced with a lockable gate so no restriction in water level, I have been reading the rules.
now I need to install the pump, get some fish and water plants and finish off the edges.
 Unusual flower .
Jaizman [how do you spell that I tried a few ways and none are right] everywhere, lots of sneezing at the moment.
Drummy is much better as her comb is back to normal it goes dark when she is not felling well.
She is very helpful and talks to you all the time when feeling on top of the world.
The ducks have moved in to the pond area.

My lime is flowering lots maybe just maybe a few limes this year

Most things are sending out new green leaves most refreshing, the little lady is just peeking out over the new lilly leaves.

  1. Your pond looks fantastic you've done a great job.Good to see Drummy looking so beautiful and well again. Jasmine is pretty not so good when it causes allergic reactions though.

    1. Trouble is I can't figure out the pump I will have to ask a favour of someone to sort it out for me.
Glad you can spell Jasmine because I just can't.

    1. Jasmine is lovely and smelly and covers up our wonky fence, but nasty for the nose.

hehehe, some one beat me to the jasmine - I love it, but it can aggravate the asthma... love how you have set the pond, but it is going to be a daily task keeping it leaf-free! The pump will be essential if you are going to keep fish...wonder what the cats will make of that?! YAM xx

  4. You have been very, very busy. Which I should be. Jasmine can be a pain. As well as the allergies it does its best to take over the world.
Glad that Drummy is feeling better.
    Sigh on the phone calls.

    1. I was worried about Drummy as we have no idea how old she is, she may pop off at any time.

  5. Love the ducks! Spring looks so good. I get phone calls that I've won a free cruise. Maybe I won't hang up on the next one.

  6. Merle, sorry you're getting so many weird calls. That can be really annoying. That is a very unusual flower, but pretty at the same time. Oh, the jasmine is so pretty, I can smell it from here. And there's my girl showing her face in the garden, love her.

  7. Have you added your phone number to the do not call register? It is not perfect but it helps.

I am not fond of Jasmine. I can be nice to smell in the evening as its scent wafts around, but it can be very strong.

  8. Your pond area is looking really great with the ducks and other things. I don't know what that unusual flower might be.
Jasmine is everywhere here now too, but not affecting me as badly as in the past. Sneezing and a little stuffiness during the night, but I haven't had the usual migraines and taking much less antihistamine this year.

  9. Hi Merle, too bad about those crank calls - they sure are annoying, aren't they? I keep getting solicitors trying to sell me everything under the sun. Love your new pond and I like how you 'follow the rules', too - hehe. I like seeing all the unusual flowers you have there and that pink and blue one is pretty special! I had a dog named Jasmine once :) Glad Drummy is feeling better. x Karen
