What's a good radio station because I'm having trouble finding one and last week..

I have just turned the radio on and some how the station was moved and I'm on The Kyle and Jacki-O show maybe I'm too old for radio today but these two are beyond belief, the news was on so I left it there, they stuck a ad in the news never come across that before then Kyle was telling everyone about all the stuff he had stolen from hotel rooms in his life the same as Kim K he stated, why are these two not arrested and locked up for thief or do hotels just add more to their bills to cover costs makes sense to do so. Then there was a interview with Jason someone who was a singer in USA, he is 26 and done well in this field the questions were about his sex life what car he was driving not much about his music career but they did play one of his songs."Touch the sky'' it was called not bad a few swear words thrown in but that is common these days. there was a delay between the questions and the answers I know it was a overseas interview but I got the feeling he was being a bit cagy about his answers, in all honesty if someone had asked me some of those questions I would just tell them to bugger off.
This is my shed not much floor now but with luck the floor will be back in a few months, the son and daughter in law have moved all their stuff out of the house they sold but not moved it to QLD so it's in my shed for the time being.

Their back yard and the Beer Fairy looking confused.
They have a lot of paint.
The shed was pretty full of left over building supplies
but the house is now completely empty

I always liked their entrance gate
and these stickers didn't come off but they are cute, the beer fairy really likes this mirror bet you cant't guess what it is made of.
We all got together for a meal and I caught a train there as they had hired a van with only 3 seats and the beer fairy caught the train home.
Interesting trip I encountered a steam train at Straithfield Station not seen one in years in Sydney, love the sound and sight of these trains the smell not so much, the driver blew his whistle a lot and everyone took photos.

Me at dinner as you can see it's cold. I can't turn these photos., so you get a sideways view.

  1. The mirror is made of mussel shells? I thought you were going to say, and my train arrived and there was only a seat left in the second class smoking carriage.

    1. No wrong there but good try.
Do you have smoking carriages in Melbourne none here that I know of not allowed to smoke on stations here, we are tough on smokers here.

  2. I think Andrew is right about the mirror. Love steam trains, but they are smelly and dirty things. And not energy efficient.

  3. Fantastic photo of the steam train. It would be great if one day there was a high speed train from Brisbane to Sydney or Melbourne.

    1. They are talking about that but it would be super expensive and owned by private enterprise, 6 hours Sydney to Melbourne I think I heard the other day.

  5. to turn a photo, place the cursor on the photo, right click your mouse, then from the drop-down menu select rotate right or rotate left. For the photo above you would choose rotate left and the photo would turn upright.
What will happen to all the paint and left over building supplies? Perhaps you could use them in your yard?
May I also suggest with that big mattress in your shed, you turn it over and around every week or two to be sure no mice are setting up house in it.

    1. Don't have a mouse but did have a fiddle and lost the whole thing I think it is back again.
I will paint a lot of things but there is a lot of paint.
We put a lot of ratsack and mouse traps around, the cats are also in and out of the shed a lot the back window is open all the time.

  6. That doesn't sound the best what they said on the radio - I agree with you.
Know what it's like to have the garage full of in our case, son and daughter in laws furniture in the garage.
At this very moment I believe our garage at home is full of their furniture and like as they are staying in our house with their 3 little ones whilst we are away!

I never listened to the radio other than to have the cricket on - or sometimes ABC Classics... K&J are not worth wasting a second of my time on.

Now then that mirror - could those be plastic spoons???

Trouble with garages stuffed with such, it is sometimes a case of out of sight out of mind!!! YAM xx

  13. Merle, I have been wondering where the good music stations are. I can't seem to find the "oldies" music any more, and I miss it. Love these train pictures. I am very fond of the train, as my grandfather worked on the railroad. This is a cute pic of you, Merle, even if it is turned upside down. I can still see your sweet smile. :)
