Lizards, lizards everywhere.

They added a few new decorations to the club since I been, the owls are very cute but the one on the end has been drinking and feeling a bit under the weather.

More nerdy elves

After bingo we went to visit a friend in a nursing home, lots of lovely gardens and areas that the older people can sit and enjoy the sunshine.
But what amazed me was all the blue tounge lizards,  we counted 8 so I took a few pictures.

The beer fairy took photos of a spider he made friends with, it only out at night and makes a catcher web to catch his dinner.

  1. What a lot of lovely plump blue tongues, they must have an endless food supply or maybe they are a family. The spider is a beauty and really interesting to see one spinning its web. Cheers, Cheryl

    1. The staff feed them, they are in a enclosed area these photos were taken behind the windows, I think they can get out as I saw one outside the area.

  3. Love the blue tongues. It is a while since I have seen one. We have skinks. Jewel is quite good at catching them (drat her) and always a tad disappointed when they slither off leaving their tails behind.
I liked the penguin ornament too.

    1. Hello nice to hear from you.
The is something about lizards, I like the feel of them on my skin but hate the feel of a cockroach or spider.

  4. So many blue tongues. I haven't seen one in the wild since I was a kid. We used to give one who lived in the tank stand a small saucer of milk each evening. The spider photos are good.

    1. Hello to you too Andrew .
We had one a few years back that lived under our house for a while, he was very old and very big, I think the dog food attracted him.

    1. Hello.
The spider is not a harmful one, he lives in the broms in the daytime only out at night so what I don't see doesn't worry me.

  6. Those lizards are chubby little fellows. They could join the elves and look right at home.

Owls eat spiders, but I think our fellow is safe.
I never seen a owl in the wild around here, lots of fruit bats here, messy noisy things.

  13. The lizards look like they might be friendly, but that spider is a little alarming! Reminds me of the American Southwest when I lived there - we had lizards and tarantulas that were big but harmless. Cute nerdy elves. x K
