Every afternoon this week we had electrical storms, I tried to get lightning but was not very good at that.
Lightning has struck many things this week houses, a substation and even a few people have been struck, maybe the silly buggers were out there taking pictures so before it poured down with rain I ventured back inside but as you can see it gets very dark, it's about 4-30pm and we are in daylight saving in summertime so 3-30pm normal time it is normally still very sunny.
This one just before the storm hit the others as it was building up.
Leroy wants some attention
So she is kissing the computer, not sure what this is about.
The day before the street lights turned on it got so dark they are light sensitive.
My laundry floor is looking better not quite finished yet.
Just one pretty flower so far
Mal was sound asleep till just before I took the photo, I sure if she could speak she would be telling me to go away.
Not sure whats happening here but I think Leroy is dreaming, wonder what about.
I must be a good dream, I like the tail over the leg.
wow, that is a very angry sky!! I LOVE a good storm, I feel bad saying that because they are so dangerous but in honesty I do like them, I must tell you I am so jealous, I have ALWAYS wanted a black and white checked floor, always, and I love yours, lol, its beautiful, the cats don't look disturbed by a storm at all, I wondered i the dogs were nervous in the storm,
ReplyDeleteThe photo of the cats was a different day in the storms they are sitting on my lap or under the beds but they are getting used to them because we had so many lately..A black and white floor is perfect I have always liked them.

ReplyDeleteWe do have a lot of electrical storms so we are ascepting of dark skies they never last long but we have a lot of lightning strikes that can be scary.

Nice capture of the storm clouds, Merle - you can clearly see the leading edge. The cats don't seem too fazed by it all - cats don't seem to mind electrical storms, but dogs are scared to death! I really like your laundry room floor and it looks nice and easy to keep clean. Hope you get some good rain out of those storms for your gardens. :)

ReplyDeleteGood progress in the laundry, I like the black and white tile pattern, it looks better than all those little brown tiles and you won't have all that grout to try and keep clean. Just a mop over and it's done.
That's a pretty hydrangea.
I once liked storms too but we had a problem with rain leaking in lately and only when it pours and thats happening a lot lately.

Really great weather photos and I like the new laundry floor. You can never go wrong with black and white.

"As the storm clouds gather, far across the sea" ....... and they surely did. These are some words from an old song from WW2. I like the b/w floor. You could play floor checkers. LOL Thanks for posting all the pictures that tell a story of your home life.

I love your laundry room floor. We had blue and white linoleum squares in our kitchen, but I could just not get them to shine like I wanted.

Crikey ..... you poor things ..... you've sure been having a rough time with storms this week, aye?? We could use some of them up our way. Its still awful dry here. That Leroy bloke doesn't seem to mind them too much. He's looking mighty relaxed in that last photo with the tail thing happening. Just as well I'm not there to chase him, aye??
