My week in pictures with a few words.

This poor old car has been sitting in our driveway since the beer fairy had his heart attack, he no longer wants to drive.

I do brush the leaves off  every now and then.

This little old arab (I can't remember his name let alone spell it) asked that we keep the car for him to buy so we did but had almost given up on him coming back but he turned up on Tuesday and they worked it out between them.  Here they are waiting for the tow truck.

The mess left behind, guess who gets to clean that up.

I worked on our painting  it is getting better slowly.

Worked on the jigsaw, Andy helped a lot Shara helped too, and the beer fairy added the last bit, which had fallen on the floor.

I picked some lavender for my toilet.

This little watering can was to have lavender in it but it leaks a lot so now has fake rose buds and is in the bathroom.

It's with the fake lavender.

My roses are all coming out now

The first flower on the privot

This was a leaky old paint tin I painted it blue and added a wallpaper strip.

I painted and repaired my small birdcage and hung it in the tree to dry.

and cleaned out the birdbath.
It was a busy week.

    1. Hi Susan,
The lavender I put everywhere it is not fancied by the mozzie's so it keeps them out of the house most of the time.

  3. Your lavender looks lovely sitting on the windowsill, Merle.
I bet you're happy the car has a new home and you can do something else in that spot now.
Is that a pink bouganvilia tree? I probably spelled it wrong but you know what I mean, lol!
It's beautiful and so are your roses!!
I think the birdcage looks wonderful hanging in the tree.
Will you leave it up for your feathery visitors?

    1. Hi Trish,
So glad the car is gone, I had ideas of building a swimming pool in the driveway (it is a long wide driveway) but maybe too much money, also jackhammering it up and adding more garden, not sure yet.
The pink bouganvilia (I'm not sure how to spell it but yours looks right) was the common one but this year it flowering a lot and the colour has changed, they are all looking good this year.
I like the cage in the tree, the birds don't come near it they like the berries, or Pidg's cage better it has seed in it and is always open.
      love Merle......

  8. Thanks for the good thought in the storm, Merle - it's a doozie and within the hour we'll be right on top of us! We're good now - still have power. This will be another two days worth - lost our seashore towns already - we live 45 minutes from them. :(
    Joy!

    1. Hi Kathryn,
We have heard some disturbing reports on the news and some of the coverage shows a storm like one that hasn't been seen in 300years.
Hope you are all OK we will be thinking and praying for you.
