Just a check out, out the front to see what's happening in the local area, not much but thats fine by me.
Must be preening time both my birds are doing it.
The pond has water in it this is rainwater, we had a real downpour the other night, I got to empty this as it full of leaves and sticks.
Pidge always chews the beer fairy can't reach me my arms are just too short.
Look at that sun very nice
We must tackle this tree, it is going to fall over one day
More sun
I was painting my garden boxes but Drummy has a thing about paint she likes to eat it so I've given up for today will come back and finish when she is down the front, she likes glue too, never do it outside now as last time she nearly ended up with her beak glued together.
Lovely lillies
and herbs
Jasmine is out wonderful smell if you don't have hay fever, my son hates the stuff.
The beer fairy doing Rocky, do you think Rocky will be impressed
Now chatting to the neighbours
These two are quite chubby but it has been a very cold winter.
Found a chair in the front yard when I cut all the plumbago back, one of my neighbours wondered past and stopped for a chat he said finding a chair is fine as long as there are no stray bodies in it.
My tiny rose has very few leaves needs a good feed.
Love your garden.
ReplyDeleteWe had a (mostly) warm day too, after a baby frost and I spent a lot of it in the garden. The cats wimped out early, and retired inside for 140 (at least) winks.
Cats really know how to sleep our go mad for about 10 mts and race around a lot then off to sleep for 10 hours.

Did you wonder where the chair had gone? What a wonderfully wild garden you have.
ReplyDeleteA bit, wondered if it was in the garden.
DeleteI like winter wild but summer neat.
Merle.............
Spring is getting a move on here too, wattle is blooming everywhere and the Jasmine is out too. My daughter and I have stocked up on antihistamines and tissues.
ReplyDeleteJasmine is hard on the nose but it does smell good.

ReplyDeleteHaha, gotta love a witty neighbour... I love that pidge has realised you are up for feeding stray birds!!! Quite the looker - as is Drumstick of course. ... I don't have winter to justify my chubby; just a winter-like summer! YAM xx
Me too I'm a bit of a chub winter and summer, but eat lots of salads in summer not winter, that helps a bit.

Hello Merle, your garden is looking great. Pidge and Drummy are making themselves look beautiful. I would love to have the jasmine growing in my yard, I love the scent. Enjoy your day and have a great new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteYou too the weather is good at the moment.
DeleteMerle...........
I suppose half a year of spring and half a year of summer is too much to ask for.
ReplyDeleteI would be good, but we need cool reading time.
DeleteMerle........
Ha ha, your neighbor is a jokster. Laughed at him and
ReplyDeleteBeer Fairy, yes, move over Rocky. I'm happy for you
to look forward to summer but sad for me to see snow
again. But, truthfully, I always welcome the break
from the garden work.
It's funny I had never seen snow and was looking forward to seeing it the first time but it didn't take long before I wanted the warmth of the sun again.
DeleteMerle........
What delightful photos, well done.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked them.
DeleteMerle......
Drummy sounds a bit too curious for her own good!
ReplyDeleteShe is a bit of a worry sometimes.
DeleteMerle........
I really enjoyed looking at all your pictures. Love those animals!
ReplyDeleteThey cheer up my life.
DeleteMerle........
Hi Merle...
ReplyDeleteWhen is winter over in your part of the world?
Even if Rocky isn't impressed with the Beer Fairy, it doesn't matter. Your sweeties seems funny and good-natured. Susan
It's over today the first of september starts spring.
DeleteMerle.........
Beautiful pics of your garden and animals, they all look very happy and contented. Cheers, Cheryl.
ReplyDeleteThey fight a bit but if they stick to their areas all is peaceful.
DeleteMerle......
All is looking good, ready for spring...tomorrow. Wow!
ReplyDeleteAhh spring it is the best time of the year.
DeleteMerle......
Nice to look forward to summer there! The garden is coming along nicely - I would love to have jasmine growing. I named one of my dogs Jasmine, once :) Too bad she didn't smell that good! Funny about Drummy eating the paint and glue. I used to eat school paste :) Good thing about the chair being empty!
ReplyDeleteWhen I came home yesterday there was a furry body in it one of the cats has claimed it for sun sleeping.
ReplyDeleteMerle.........
I have never heard of a chicken that eats paint! I wonder if that is just an idiosyncracy or if she has some sort of vitamin deficiency. I know I had kids who chewed furniture and stuff and they recommended daily vitamins. (They kept doing it anyway. You just had to stop them from doing it.)
ReplyDeleteI painted today and she stayed away so I think she was just being a sticky beak.
DeleteMerle...........
Lots of things going on in your back yard, Merle. Nel's favorite scent is jasmine, and their white flowers are so pretty too. That is so cool that the pigeons let your husband get that close to them. Love that picture. And your pond looks like it's in the shape of a heart. Did you notice that?
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having nice winter days, Merle.
love, ~Sheri
It's only one Pigeon that Pidge he's the only one.
DeleteNo I hadn't noticed the shape of the pond.
It's spring now two days in.
Merle.......
Happy Spring Time Friends!
ReplyDeleteAltogether beauty dominates there.
