Getting ready for autumn, all sleepy.

This is a sleepy sleepy Leeroy she keeping a eye out to see if anyone is looking at the house next door, the people who were renting it moved out yesterday.
Drummy is showing her new tail area, she has no tail yet but lots of new soft feathers much better than a nude bum, you know we would look much better with feathers.
Kidney is sleepy too the weather is cooling off and all my little animal friends are adjusting to sleeping more.
This poor thing just rotted away, I stopped watering it a while back but nothing helped.
My pumpkins and chillies

Only one flower left.
But the moth vine is flowering, nothing kills this but it does look pretty when flowering.
Aren't these things supposed to grow on the ground mine are all up trees or on fences.
I've cleaned up our sitting area but we still need the areoguard and his lordships buts tray.

I've been sweeping all morning, so many leaves, we had lots of wind last night all tidy now for a day or two.

Drummy keeps getting in the photos now her feathers are growing back she want's her picture taken when she was patchy she hid when I had the camera.

She is very pretty and back to chatting whenever she sees us, I missed her friendly talks.

    1. Drummy gets a lot of attention I'm not sure if she is a good looking hen as she is the only one I have ever known.

  2. Crikey Merle ...... your garden is looking sooooooooo good and so is Drummy. Mum laughed out loud when you said peeps 'would look better with feathers'. They sure would or, if not feathers, then fur, aye?? The fairy garden is coming along nicely!! AND those pumpkins in trees. Way to go. No ugly marks on them.

  4. Cute chook. Leaves are a problem in autumn, leaves can get in the gutters, we don't seem to have that down here as we don't have hardly any deciduous trees around our house at the present.

    1. We have leaves all the time, I sweep about 3 times a week but they are a good mulch.

  5. How right you are. Feathered (or furry) butts would look much better.
Love that /Drummy is feeling (and looking better) and, as always, love your garden.

  7. So pleased you have pumpkins growing. When they get larger, the weight may pull them down to the ground, but you could put a support under them, like a pedestal or table to keep them off the ground.
Drummy is looking lovely and fluffy again.
Is it the frangipani that rotted away? That happens when they are kept too wet or damp, they prefer to be dryer. I can never grow one either, they all die.

    1. No not a Frangipani but we have lost one of them in that area, so I think it gets boggy under the ground there.
And we have eggs again, they are so different to shop eggs, I missed them.

As always, I get my 'breath of fresh air' as you take us round your garden... Drumstick really is photogenic isn't she?! Mind you, the cats hold their own in the pose stakes. Mmmmmm pumpkin, chillies.... do you have any chokos? I love choko ....I discovered some being sold here last summer on a supermarket 'specialist' shelf - for the equivalent of $10/kg !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAM xx

    1. Yes we have chokos, the beer fairy has to clime on the fence to pick them, they are growing up the trees.

  9. Good to have Drummy feeling pleased with herself again. We're starting a spring clean up here. Apparently it's the same the world over, regardless of the season.
