Elections and a bit more garden.

This week has been quite here but the rest of the world has had a few developments.
UK have split with Europe, well I guess if I had investments they would be down down down like Coles prices but I'm ok my modest sum in the bank is still the same.
We have a federal election coming up this Saturday and boy am I sick of all our pollies, every time you turn the TV on here they are telling you what they will do for you, not a lot really but they do a fair bit for themselves, but lately they are ringing me up with recorded messages and asking me who I'm voting for I just hang up now but when you are on the loo of in the shower it can get very annoying.
We have a cooling off time which  started at midnight last night, so no more vote for me adds.
I know USA and UK have elections coming up we get all the latest on the news what are they going to talk about when they are all over and the football season is over, world news would be different.

I made this following a pattern.
I went wrong somewhere and not to crazy about knitting with cotton it keeps falling off the needles, oh well good to try new things.
Finished this path, had to take it apart and redo, it fits a lot better now.

The beer fairy's garlic is doing well out of Drummys reach.
Wonderful winter sunshine but not today it's very overcast and cold thats why I'm inside.

 The supervisor, management material.
 This bit to do.
and the other sun seat for the cats.
No one wanted their bird cages back so I  made them into pot plant stands.

It is cute even if a bit wonky.

  1. Your knitting is beautiful and even, I like the colour combinations too. It's great isn't it that we can have a break at last from endless political announcements.

  2. Knitting falling off needles sounds like a disaster. My grandmother showed me how to knit but I have long forgotten. She cast on for me and I just kept knitting. The scarf was probably the longest in the world, but never finished. I think I eventually unravelled it.

    1. I had a go at teaching my son to knit when he was about 10, we started with about 20 stitches, showed him what to do, he was doing ok so left him to it, about a week later he showed me his effort he had about 120 stitches now lots of holes and bits of wool hanging off everywhere so he gave up after that and me too, well I did teach my daughter and her friend to knit but they said it was just to slow.

    2. Heard news that Scotland wants to break away from England and stay with Europe, that would change a lots of things.
I've been off the computer a bit lately, we have had a few problems with our providers and often no connections but it is ok now I think.

  6. your garden looks great, so lush and full, hard to believe its winter with you,,I bet you enjoyed knitting that baby outfit even if the yard is a bit tricky ( and it is,, I know that lol, ) the outfit is adorable and I think its really soft too, it looks cuddly, I'm so sick and tired of hearing politics on TV, here in our part of Canada we get mostly american channels, just a few Canadian, and its just so negative listening to them attack and make fun of each other,, just like children in a play ground, and thats what there is to choose from to run a country,, very scary. The candidates spend more time looking for and digging up dirt on each other, name calling and just never seem to say much about improving the country. Its not much better here in Canada,,politics is a nasty business now a days, in my opinion,,lol,,take care lovely lady, your supervisor looks just like our George,,

    1. Hi I can't get onto your blog at the moment, this has happened before not sure why but often it all comes at once.
The American election is crazy and it goes on for months you must get tired of it, we get a lot of coverage here too about whats happening in world politics it is nice to be informed but they all carry on like children most of the time and now England is having problems too.

  7. Hello, the knitted baby outfit is so cute. Will you be making two of everything? Your garden does look great. I am so tired of all the politics and negative ads on the TV. Hopefully the stocks will not plunge. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day and weekend!

    1. What I made will only be one of all things as there is a boy and a girl and they will like their own stuff but what I've bought I got two of so sometimes they can dress alike and sometimes apart.

  8. The little knitted suit is grand. Don't despair; that's the way baby's legs go for a long time, even after they get up and walk. Love your garden, as always.

  10. I love the little purple outfit. My old MIL used to be able to knit very fast while watching TV. She'd sit down and start something and by bedtime the pieces would be all done and ready to sew up the next day!
I take a week to do a single bootie, then another week to make the other one!
Loved "walking through" your garden. I still don't know who I'm going to vote for.

    1. I'm not as fast as your MIL but I get there in the end.
Voting all over today It took about 40 mts standing around in the cold , I think I went at the same time as everyone else.

  13. The baby outfit looks lovely! Thanks for the heads up about cotton being slippery to knit with...I've never knitted with cotton before.

    Beautiful garden pics!

I have not had our TV on at all so I'm glad I missed out on all the politics crap. I have a silent number so they can't get me that way either. I knew America did the pre-election phone messages to push for votes but I didn't know Australia did it too. Crazy!

    Have a great weekend. :)
