A slow week and a house auction.

Quiet week last week one and a half days I was very ill, throwing up on Wednesday night and Thursday not to good at all, have no idea why.
One of those 24 hour things but mine went a bit longer, ok now but still off my food, well that won't hurt too much I have reservers.
Kicked Leeroy out of the bedroom so she moved into the guest room between the warm quilts just check out the look I'm getting, will leave her in peace.

Made a blanket for my grandchildren.
Took a picture of this wonderful tree on the way home from Bingo on Monday.
On Saturday the house on the corner was Auctioned so of course we went to have a look.
 Everything is brand new not as flashy as I thought but this is the most buttons I have ever seen on a shower, 3 bathrooms all with these controls.
 I have never seen so many perfumes on a dressing table before not sure why they left the deodorant and vaseline in view
 The light in the stairs was truly different as were all the curtains.
 Only one wardrobe storage would be a problem, the beer fairy was surprised they had fitted 5 bedrooms, it was 2 story but the block is very small .
 But these washbasins were very different, two of the bathrooms had these.
 This was the top of the shower.

The Auction didn't go well they wanted to start at $950,000 but only got one offer at $850,000 so it was passed in, will let you know how much when I hear through the grapevine.
Lots of rain here at the moment but the rain held off for the auction so they were lucky there.

    The toilet seat and lid are left up during an open for inspection or did the Beer Fairy avail himself of the facility? Not quite as bad as the ghastly gold basin. Deodorant and vaseline, Yeah, I suppose they go together if you use some imagination. The shower might be nice to stand under, to wash off the deodorant and vaseline. So are you sure it wasn't your own cooking that made you sick?

      To answer your first question no he was with me the whole time there was 3 bathrooms I think and all had their toilet seat up.
      You are very interested in the deodorant and vaseline it struck a funny bone with me and the Beer Fairy we are still laughing about that one.
      Maybe my cooking is a bit odd at times but not make anyone sick in the past that I know of.

      No gold basin for me but these people are a tad different not very friendly and fight with Sammy a lot and we are good mates with Sammy so only hear bad stories about them.

    Also sorry to hear you were sick. That never is good. Hope you've made a total recovery.

      I think they stood out so much as everything else was black or white and all of a sudden gold basins, there were two.
      The weekend is awful after a very dry autumn the winter is shaping up to be super wet.

      Sydney prices are crazy at the moment, but this house is brand new there was a ok 3 bedroom house on this block but these people pulled it down and rebuild, they borrowed more than they could afford and were in a lot of debt well that's the story on the neighbour grapevine.

    Not a fan of the gold basin. Drat Andrew. He has started me thinking about deodorant and vaseline.
    Love that tree. And the crabby cat. And the blanket. We are getting rain here too. Finally. I am happy. The garden is happy. The cats are not.

      We had enough rain for a while, floods everywhere might take a walk down to the creek later to see if it's flooded too.
      I know I've had some ideas about the deodorant and vaseline too and as for the gold basin.

    I wonder if the house didn't sell because some of those fittings don't sit well with the rest of the decor. Gold velvet curtains in such a modern interior? no-no. Those gold bowls don't seem to fit with the bathrooms either, something in a colour that goes with either the tiles or shower/window frames. If they want metallic they could go with brushed aluminium. I might have put a dark grey like the tiles.
    as for the dressing table, for an open inspection, put all that stuff away including the cloth. If you need to cover a scratch or other mark, put a small doily under a small vase of flowers. Or just one fancy perfume bottle. In a colour that goes with the quilt or curtains.
    Of course there are lots of other reasons a house doesn't sell.

    Hope you're feeling better now, being sick is not good. I really like your pics of the beautiful tree and baby blanket. The house wasnt my style though. We have had some beautiful steady rain here the paddocks are looking a little greener now !

      We had masses of rain here Georges River burst it banks not happened since I was a girl, flooding everywhere .

    Can't believe a house would start at that price but guess they do up your way..
    Your rug for the bed is lovely, I have just finished one for our bed in summer. Starting a new one for the caravan bed.

      Not usually that much but we are climbing up in price around here, the northern beaches and inner city are off the scale as far as price goes.

    Glad to hear you are on the mend Merle - some of those stomach bugs can be very nasty. Mind you - the sight of gold basins nearly had me throwing up! That was one decorative step too far if you ask me. Only one offer? Well, most folk wouldn't want those basins and the cost of replacing them ... well.... &*> YAM xx

      I'm much better and it stopped raining.They all go to Auction now because they are fetching high prices at the moment because interest rate are very low so who knows what they get.
