Dead ants but no cord.

There has been a lot of talk about the harm sugar does in our diets all I can say is there was only a drop or two of maple syrup in this bottle but I had forgotten about it but the ants found it and made the best of it but they all came to a sticky end.
Much searching was done to find the recharge cord for my screwdriver tool so far no luck lots of cords but none fit so maybe I will just toss the lot as I have no idea what they belong to.

But I did find all the words to Advance Australia  Fair, usually only the first verse is sung,  so now I can learn the second verse.

It always end in a bit of a clean up when looking for things.

  1. How funny! It's like cleaning time at my house. Although I always keep my maple syrup in the fridge. :)

  3. Oh, that is frustrating when you need to find something. I think everyone has a pile of mysterious cords these days....at least the ants died a sweet death! x Karen

    1. I guess I could lay down in that much sugar and drift off to endless sleep, no I have a lick every now and again that would keep me alive.

  4. I'd have a great time with all those cords; untangling, trying each one in every appliance then labelling it when I found where it fit. it's the sort of thing I like doing; most of my cords here are bundled with a velcro strap so they don't get tangled and each one has a small tag near the plug with the name of the appliance.
Your screwdriver tool is a black and decker, so check each cord for the black and decker name?
I've got a bunch of phone extension cords that I should get rid of, they're all different lengths, so maybe I'll need them eventually.

    1. I have checked all the cords no such luck.
A lot of them are playstations and video games left over from another time.

... mainly phone and antenna extensions by the looks of things - but I do note an HDMI connector in there - bottom left of pic, oblong head... use it to display your laptop screen on the television (I do that to feed YouTube or tele catchup films through). I have one drawer in the house and one travel bag dedicated to all things 'lecky'. If it ain't in either of those, it ain't there at all!

I did learn verse two for my naturalisation ceremony 25 years back. Don't think I've sung it since!!! YAM xx

    1. AS kids we often put out jar lids of sugar and water and something else but I can't remember what that was, but it worked.

  8. Lots of cords there, hope you do find the one you require.
Ants, thank goodness they have gone for this year though they didn't give us any trouble.
I had forgotten the second verse and reading it I was humming the tune.

  9. I stuff cords into a big jar. If I don't need them in a year or two, I pitch them.

  10. Yes, the ants certainly look dead. I doubt you will learn the second verse and if you do, you will forget it in time.
