The weather heats up and my life slows down.

This is my shelter in the rain tree, Right where the bus stops and so thick with leaves I don't get wet well not much anyway.
I love this grass stuff I have some but it's not red.

Can anyone tell me what these are the Beer Fairy arrived home from the supermarket the other day with them and I've never seen them before, he didn't know what they were so he always buys new stuff to see what it is like.

Lazy sleeping cats they are just everywhere now Angus has gone home.

This was to show how windy it was yesterday but every time I took a photo it went dead calm.

Pidge was most amused for some reason he spent most of the day chatting to us about who knows what but we have worked out he doesn't like crows when there is one around he don't go flying but stays home and chats to us.

Milk and water 50/50 Drumstick's favourite drink.
She drinks a lot of it.
 Finished my toilet mat.
Goes with my checks in the laundry.

The neighbour on the corner always mows our strip in front of our house as we have no lawn and puts all the grass in our yard for our hen, she is so happy to scratch around in it so it stays in her yard for a while then goes on the garden, makes great mulch, the rake is just decoration she does most of the work.
My monsterio (I have no idea how to spell that) has produced fruit, first time in about 4years, I know it takes about 6months to ripen.

 Big big leaves

The pumpkin has grown like crazy lately we can't open the gate now to the beer fairies vege garden.

It's everywhere, lets hope we get some pumpkins.
 and chokos and passionfruit

All the roof has been cleaned up for the repairs to the roof, but the tradesmen are running behind so will not be here till next week now but they did ring and let me know so I'm not too worried it's always hard to get things done and roofing is not possible in the wet and we had a few wet days lately so fingers crossed .

    1. Don't think they are persimmons as I remember them, my uncle had a tree when I was a child I often ate them but that was a long time ago and there are most likely different varieties, these have two seeds so thats a bit different.
For a minute I wondered why your picture was different but this is your other blog.

  3. I don't know what the mystery objects are...I never try new stuff from the grocery store because a) I don't know what to do with it b) I'd hate to waste money on it if it were horrible.

One thing I am certain is that they are NOT persimmon (see here). They could be a type of guava - but without seeing one open and something to give size perspective it is a little hard to tell..... ... good luck &*>...

Love how Drummy is doing her part in the recycling of garden stuffs! YAM xx

  5. Milk and water? I never knew chooks were milk drinkers. Live and learn. And I have no idea about your mystery fruits - like Yam I think I need to see them cut open.
Loving your garden. Good luck on the pumpkin front, I do love them. And passion fruit. Chokoes not so much.

    1. She loves straight milk but I mix the water with it because it might be a bit strong As I knew nothing about hens, it's a bit hit and miss what she eats she always want's what I have so a varied diet is a must, she has standard chicken food and veg's scraps but she finds a lot in the garden to eat no snails live here now

  6. Can't say what the mystery object is, other than some type of fruit. I do hope you get it figured out. Nice to see Drummy getting the Queen's treatment :)

  7. At first I thought the new fruit was loquat, but I'm sure you already know those and they aren't often in supermarkets. It would help if you cut one open so we can see the flesh and seeds. I'm jealous that your wind goes dead calm when you want to take a photo, it's the other way around with me, I get the camera focused and the wind springs up so all the flowers bob around and the shot is lost.

    1. That happens to me too when taking a photo but it was very windy the other day and I was trying to capture it.
It might be a loquat, it has two seeds and I took some photos of a open one, in the next blog.

  8. I was going to suggest persimmons but it seems not. Are they the same as tree tomatoes that taste like passionfruit. Ok, I am stabbing in the dark. Someone will know.

  11. It's funny to hear that you are in the heat, when I look out my window my world is white, covered in still a rather large amount of snow. Even with the unseasonal amount of warmth, and rain.

Stay cool, and I will stay warm.

  13. Ah... pictures of greenery and lush and flowers and warm. How enjoyable to look at. We had our brief flirt with spring but I think the tides are turning.
I think those things the Beer Fairy bought are eggs that grow on trees. You know, the egg tree. Kinda like the money tree. Have him find that tree, too, next time he's at the market. LOL

  14. I wish he would find the money tree too all problems solved then well all the money ones.
