A week in the sun and a catch up.

The new bathroom in my son and daughter in law's house, they took a few more photos
but they all came out sideways or were so dark I couldn't make them out, almost finished just taps and vanity to go in now.

I was given this fellow from them, he is a beauty but will put him away on a softer spot in the garden as he will break if knocked over here.

And this vase which is now inside as it is a thinner china and will break very easily.

I went shopping with my friend after bingo on Monday, this material is most likely going to be a new quilt cover or maybe curtains or maybe I will cover the small lounge with it, I just liked it but not sure what to do with it yet.
All those bit of material in the cupboard beside the books are all bits I liked but didn't know what to do with, a weakness of mine.

Just a few garden photos in case you forgot what it was like and with days like this I'm outside most of the day, if this is Winter, Summer this year will be hell.

Poor herbs, all pretty much new ones will be planted this year.
The jasman is flowering only a month early but the spring is very early this year, we are already had a few bush fires on the outskirts of Sydney let hope it's a wet spring as the winter has been so dry bush fires will be very bad this year.

This was a lovely red sunset the other night but by the time I got the camera it had started to expand and lose colour but it was still pretty.
The other morning I sat outside with the twins to have coffee, they have a meet and greet every morning.
Firstly they ignore each other.
This lasts for a few moments, then a bit of a chat.
 Then a spot of grooming.

A kiss or two to finish.
Well that was my week .
I've had lots of trouble with my computer this week, it's very slow and played up a bit so I've not been on it so much so you will have to excuse me if I've not visited so much, I thought it needed a bit of a holiday.

  1. Since the old cat died the young cat dreadfully misses having his ears licked.

  4. No shower taps at the bath, so must be a separate shower. The cats looks so cute, like bookends.

    1. The shower is next to the bath there is a strip drain so I don't know if they are putting in a screen or leaving it open.
They are like bookends but won't still still long enough to be of any use.

  6. Love the elephant and the vase. Stunners.
And the twins and your garden. We were very warm, but over the last few days we are getting a little winter. Minus 5 predicted tomorrow morning. It has been very, very pretty though - bright blue skies and a dusting of snow on the hills.

  8. The elephant and vase are two very nice additions to your garden, I'm sure you'll find the perfect spots for both of them.
I like the tiny houses on top of your book shelves, I had a similar collection once but gave them away when I moved.
Blooming Jasmine! I'd better start stocking up on antihistamines.

Like others, I love your garden 'china'... I had a similar elephant in Asquith; but it was one thing which had to be rehomed when I moved... as did all the material I had gathered!!! Why I had so much I don't know, 'cuz I am NOT a sewer. Awwwww and nothing like a a hug and kiss to start the day. YAM xx

    1. If we get a wet spring and a mild summer things will be ok but if it's hot and dry that's not so good.
My computer is still very slow but a bit better but the radio is stopping and starting today maybe reception problems.

  14. A fun little tour of things, Merle -a good job that your son has done on the bath and nice gifts they have given you, too. I like the vase especially and it is like the fabric you have bought. I think it is very pretty fabric. I have a soft spot for a pretty piece of fabric, too. Guess I better get to sewing some of it. Your kitties are very sweet and sociable. Mine start out with a swat and a hiss. Hope you get a nice rainy summer this year. Our wildfires are horrible this year - so hot and dry. Have a good week. xo Karen

It's funny how we like pretty stuff even my daughter will buy material and she doesn't sew, often she has something in mind for it and I will make it for her, but I still have materials she bought years ago.

That elephant is so unique. I've never seen anything like it. It looks good in your garden. The twin cats are sweet. I especially like that last picture of them. They look like they love each other so much.

Thank you for your words on Jess getting her Master degree. It was an exciting day for us all.
