Rosehill renovations and my very little asian garden

My son is down to work on the house that he and his wife are renovating, I do like this fireplace one side faces the loungeroom and the other the main bedroom but each is a separate fireplace but the share the same chimney.

The bathroom is all stripped back to bare wall.
This is one of the rooms he has done in the past but the light is all wrong to get a good picture.
The other side to the fireplace, all finished but for the skirting boards and trims around the fireplace and a bit of touching up with the painting.
This is the wallpaper it is very striking, I'm not sure what colour the skirting boards will be when finished.
Close up of the wallpaper.

Still more to do in this room.
They built the fence last time they were down it is very different.
And the pickets were done a while back,
They built the lynch gate too but it looks like it has lost a tile.

Lots of pictures of the fence because I like it so much.

The outside of the house needs work but I think that will be done last.

The mailbox was a one off too.
The garden is doing well even though no one is looking after it, gone a bit wild.
This is my little Asian garden not Japanese because it has bits from every where.

I never happened after Drumstick came because she liked eating the plants, but this is a little tiny one she will not be all that interested as it has very few plants well lets hope so.

I bought some ferns over at the supermarket the other day, and they are doing well so far.

This is the naughty girl who eats everything but she is a pretty hen.

And some new things from my sons place[I can not spell what they are called].
new vegies only been in a day or two.

Everything else is going well.
Rainy day area for smoking for the beer fairy.

Well that about it, bye for now.

  12. A sweet place your son is remodeling - I do love that red picket fence and the unusual wallpaper! All of your garden plants are houseplants for me, although I do put them out in the summer. Your Asian garden is looking good - I love the lantern. Drumstick is fat and sassy, and living the good life. Enjoyed the tours. :) Karen

  16. I see your son's house is coming along nicely. I like the idea of that fireplace. I have a crappy old heater upstairs in my house that is built in the wall and heats 2 rooms. Wish it were as nice as your son's fireplace.
I like that picket fence..... Looks like out of an old song where they talk about cottages and picket fences. Your Asian garden is so charming. Does Drumstick think it's her personal garden? Lots of greenery already and pretty flowers in bloom.

  17. The house had little gaps in the timber in the walls and it was always cold in winter but he replaced all the internal walls and insulated them now the open fires should work a lot better.
