Wing commander was only visiting.

Would you like to live in a area where the chickens visit each other well we do,  I must admit most places I have lived the cats all visit each other mainly to pinch food and it's not all that social, mostly my cats want their own area and no intruders, cats are a bit nasty if you look like you are trying to take over and you might get more food than them.
But chickens that walk up the driveway and into the back yard and stay for a overnight or two, that hasn't happened before, I just hope she hasn't gone over the wrong back fence as the other side has two pit bulls, they are very old but if a chicken wondered in I know what would happen.
I think this little bird house has just about had it, I have repaired it so many times but I think it's past it now.
Drummy is happy to potter around in her garden, she was happy to see her guest but there were problems about overstaying her welcome, they had a bit of a fight.

Crazy Brommy flowers.

I just realised everything flowering in my garden is red or pink at the moment.
I'm not sure if Drumstick or Wing Commander did this but it must have been tasty.

Next door is almost finished all cleaned up and locked up, I do hope they put in a garden.
Maybe new neighbours soon.
The mobile toilet is still there so a bit more to go.

  1. Merle,
Those white and pink flowers with the yellow are so pretty. I am wondering what the name of them are? I bet you didn't want to see wing commander go, but if drumstick wasn't happy with her guest, it's best that she went on her way.

    Have a good week.

    Love,

  6. Sometimes there's only room for one hen in the house....Love your gorgeous flowers - they are so tropical! I would love to wear one in my hair while walking around in flip flops and a sundress - oh, was I thinking out loud? It is very cold and dreary here, your post is so cheerful and bright. Hope you get some very nice neighbors. xo

  8. Drumstick and Wing Commander just had to sort out who is boss. Hopefully they now have. Chickens won't care about how their house looks, as long as it is good shelter. Maybe it isn't anymore.

  9. We had a hen once that would always try to enter the house to lay her eggs in my sister's chair, on her clothes... She would peck relentlessly on the door or window, until someone opened it and then she would make her way to the chair, hop on it lay her egg, and leave quietly... cute creature. Nice flowers in your garden...

  12. Drummy is cute, it is funny she has friends over visiting.. Not good that they overstay their welcome.. I love the pretty pink flowers. A lot of pink is much better than my world which is mostly white( snow) and some brown trees.
Enjoy the rest of your week!

  14. Perhaps Wing Commander will visit again after she sorts things out at home. Your garden is looking lovely, funny about everything being pink or red at the same time. Your frangipani is beautiful. I really like the little bird house.
