Cleaning up the driveway

This is the state of my driveway at the moment, we have lots of tree branches from cutting the tree off the roof bits of left over stuff from Ian's move. the branches can't be burnt because we have a total fire ban on at the moment and that should last for some time as we have more heat waves coming up, so all our branches have to be cut into short lengths and put in out garden waste bin.

It really is a mess

It doesn't worry Leeroy she is checking out the birds in the trees.

This is one bin full, it is emptied tomorrow.

Kidney is not not going to help she just ignores any work to be done.

making a small dent in the mess.

Pidge and the beer fairy are talking world events out on the back bench, no help there.

This one had it dozed off to sleep.

Back to ignoring me.

No change there.

Well ok what do you want

Oh I have new wind chimes for the garden.

And these are my clowns.

A bit more done now you can walk down the drive, I really want to put a swimming pool in here, wouldn't that be great, I don't know if the council will let me but the first I have to clean it.

Second bin load, this is slow going.

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I enjoyed seeing pictures of your cats. I had one just like the orange tabby. So it's warm where you live? I will be freezing today and warm by weekend. Weather is crazy everywhere. A pool sounds nice!

  2. Your orange cat is so cute!! We have some similar clean up going on at our place only multiply it by 100 if that makes you feel any better :) we had land cleared for horses so all the scrub was cut and we have to get all the debris raked up, it looks alot like all the the sticks you have ...I hope you get your pool that sounds nice :) Love Heather

    1. Hi Heather,
Glad I don't have to multiply it by a 100 it was hard enough with my small bit, yes Kidney is a real character but cute is not a word I would use about her more angry than anything else.

    1. Hi Stephanie,
The tabby thats always asleep is mine, the ginger cat and Pidge belong to my husbane (the beer fairy) he found Kidney in a transport yard as a kitten and she ended up at our place Pidge was hurt so he came home too,now he has a cage that is never shut and comes and goes as he likes.

    1. Hi Barb,
Good idea we did trim it up, it has lost so many leaves in the heat this year, I 'm really keen on a pool maybe because it's so hot I will have to save a bit more for it about $15,000 is the cost.

  6. My Goodness you have got a lot to do,and in this heat we are having it's not the best thing in the world to have to do. Great idea to put a pool in there though. Cats certainly have a great life. Thank you for visiting. Hope the polish saves some energy for your yard cleanup :)

  7. Wow! You've been a busy lady, Merle!
Your pile of sticks looks like most of our garden at the moment.
    Love the new wind-chimes :-)
I think your cats have the right idea about this heat - just sleep everything off, lol!
The photo of Pidge is nice too.
    love..Trish
