The Rocks

Once a fortnight my mate Barbara and I go on a outing to a place we haven't been to or somewhere we have so  been to for some time so today we are going to The Rocks. This is our Opera House on a very grey day.

And the smallest Ambulance I have ever seen.

Our bridge peeking out behind a tri coloured building.

Lots of different looking buildings The Rocks is a very old  area.
The even have a dinosoure ( I wish I  could spell)
The photo centre we are not a family

but Babs is a solider

and I am a convict

If you get tired they provide a chair

This cafe grows herbs and vegs out the front  what a good idea.

A stylish yellow jacket, I can see the beer fair in that.

They do ghost tours of the area so it must be haunted.

The old and the new

We watched a rock candy shop make the lollies they sell

Visited this art.galley amazing pictures but not allowed to take photos.

Interesting tree.
They weather has improved.
And afternoon tea watching the boats and the people walking by.

  2. What a terrific lot of interesting photos. I think I have a photo of myself standing inside that sculpture just as you are and it was taken abou 1983. The improvement in the weather made the photos much nicer.

  3. Interesting photos as we usually just see the harbour bridge and not many other areas, so I'm pleased you took photos and showed us.

    1. I did read the story but can't remember it now, it reminded me of the dog on the tucker box and the dog in Scotland I can not remember where but I saw a movie about him many years ago.

  5. The dinosaur is a T-Rex and from this angle the legs look almost human. I love the little ambulance but wonder why such a small one is needed? I've seen that rock candy making on TV, a long time ago now, very interesting to watch. I'd love to wander around The Rocks one day.

    1. I think the small ambulance is so it can dart around the city helping out before the big fellows arrive.
