The last 2 weeks.

I like this fence is just a bit different and very neat, mine is falling over so I will get a new one soon, maybe.
Wilbur on the swing, he is such a big boy now.

On the way home from the park I took odd shots of the neighbourhood.
Some tall pine  trees.
Love this balcony

Schools have water tanks now
This tree is growing next to my house I had no idea it could get so big.

Sign of the times, we often took a shortcut through our school to the bus stop not allowed any more.

Some are very private

This one is for sale interesting old house but on a very busy road.

Love the door and window screens.
The mural has seen better days could do with a freshen up.

The smell is lovely.
some houses are tiny
street flowers

Can you see the mischief

On Wednesday last week we went to the zoo
We saw the big male elephant

The babies were impressed
Well a bit anyway
the big turtles
very slow but very impressive
A lazy Hippo.
there was a baby one in the water diving but I must of missed him.

A baby elephant
with his mum
family together

and of course these fellows

Well that's bye from us.

  1. Look at those two growing so fast!
I like the elephant family at the zoo.
Your neighbourhood is very pretty. I like the little house in the picture under the mural that needs repainting.

    1. Yes that one is cute, this is my daughters neighbourhood mine has bigger blocks as I'm further away from the city, I like the houses where she lives but the land size is often very small.

I miss the varied architecture of Sydney (Though some of the new-build areas are starting to follow the British 'little boxes' thing...) And Taronga is one of the best zoo-parks in the world. Most depress me but I find I enjoy that place. Glad to see the twins thriving! YAM xx

    1. When next in Australia you should check out the zoo at Dubbo it's very good and as it is out in the country lots of land to move around in for the animals and they have little buses to move the people around too.

Oh yes - I went to Western Plains Zoo way back not long after it opened - not a great deal there at the time, but a wonderful place; would definitely like to revisit! Yxx

  9. I bet the babies looked all around at the animals at the zoo. Love those elephants. And the giraffes are always a favorite of mine. Wow, that turtle is huge. What a lovely walk you had on your way home, Merle. Cute baby pictures of Wilbur. The mural is pretty, but Yes, they do need to freshen it up a bit. The house with the pink and aqua fence is charming.

    Have a restful Sunday.

    love, ~Sheri

  12. Such lovely little lots in the city and the school appears to be beautifully maintained. The fencing definitely sets it apart and there is no way to just accidentally wander on their land - you ARE trespassing if you're doodling about on that campus. Good for them being firm about it.

I hope you are all faring well and making it through the winter ok. :)
