I found I had no photos of my daughter on my camera she took some of my photos, so I took this one of her well a painting of her I did a long time ago.
This is the finished dress, but little things are so tiny and hard to make.
And this one I got from Target to give me the size.
Another one that was just so cute .
And we mustn't forget my grand son, who doesn't want a suit of cacti.
Here he is sleeping in the pram on a bed of Tall animals with long necks.
We went out for lunch and this little bloke slept all the way there while eating and home again.
Or I not sure what, on a bed of chickens, maybe, but the little miss was wide awake and full of life.
Not to happy about something
Now thats much better
Well maybe not
Many moods in a few minutes.
They are well strapped in these days.
My friend and I at lunch
This was my lunch
and hers
Some of the street gardens are quite lovely.
Who leaves their shoes at the railway station., they don't look very old maybe not very comfortable.
Well thats my week.
Look at those little cuties! Isn't it just fun to see them grow and change? Love the little dress and the other outfits. So cute! I don't think I would have left those shoes behind....they are kind of cute. Sorry it is so hot there- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThey were nice shoes but maybe too small for me and too big for my friend.
DeleteHeard it is very cool in your neck of the woods.
Merle........
Those babies are so sweet and expressive.
ReplyDeleteThey sure are.
DeleteMerle..........
Running for the train? Those babes are cuties.
ReplyDeleteMaybe but they were at the station not half way up the road.
DeleteMerle..............
The babies, and their outfits, are super cute. Love Little Misses expressive face. Hot here too. I am hunkered down pretending it isn't happening.
ReplyDeleteThey have ducted air conditioning so sleeping is not disturbed but outside it's still hot but the twins are not too worried.
DeleteMerle...........
Merle, the red and white polka dot dress is too cute. I'm a polka dot girl too, have always liked it. The babies are darling, and look at their sweet expressions. You and your friend sure had a Yummy lunch. That's a cool picture of the red shoes at the railway station. I wonder what the story is?
ReplyDeleteIt's hot where you live, Merle, and it's been raining for three days here!
love, ~Sheri
Oh for some rain here 3 days would be nice.
DeleteMerle........
..it was a great day yesterday Merle.. thanks for inviting me to visit the twins.. they are gorgeous xxxx I did enjoy lunch... Some of the gardens were lovely .. xxxx Barb xxxx
ReplyDeleteBut it was hot, hotter still yesterday last night slept with fans on and every window and door open catching all the wind that was available. Looking forward to cooler weather this year.
DeleteMerle..............
Crikey Merle ..... those little outfits sure are cute. Nearly as cute as the ones who will be wearing them. It sure has been hot for you down there. I hope you get a southerly buster soon. Who DOES leave their shoes at the railway station???????
ReplyDeleteThat's what is puzzling, bare feet are not easy to walk in unless you are at the beach.
DeleteMerle..............
Those little clothes are ever so sweet.
ReplyDeleteThe twins are growing fast, wow....
Enjoy you time with them, keep cool re weather as 40 deg C is way too hot.
The are growing very fast, so tiny when they came home from hospital.
DeleteMerle..........
The babies are so adorable! I remember sewing tiny things, but didn't have to make many; my oldest had so many hand me downs from three girl cousins two and three years older than her.
ReplyDeleteIs that Barbara with you? Her lunch looks interesting, looks like two slabs of chocolate cake resting on a creamy casserole.
The street gardens are very nice.
We've had a few cool days in a row here, perhaps they'll make it over to you.
They too have lots of stuff but they grow so fast nothing last very long.
DeleteYes that was Barbara, it was banana bread and a sweet sauce with nuts looked wonderful, but I didn't finish mine and Barbara left some too we were saying there are childrens meals why not older peoples meals with just smaller sizes.
I hope the coolness get here.
Merle..........
Hello Merle, your grandchildren are adorable. The outfits are so cute. The twins do seem to be growing fast. The lunch looks yummy. Enjoy every minute of your time with the babies. Happy weekend to you!
ReplyDeleteI will enjoy my time with them they change so quickly.
DeleteMerle.......
Lovely photos. I was going to say the same as above. They grow so quickly and while each stage is delightful in itself, you quickly miss it as they move on to the next. I quite like the shoes. Did you check what size they were?
ReplyDeleteNo sorry but much to small for me I wear a 8/9 so somewhere under that.
DeleteThey do move fast it's only been a week and half and the little boy has grown a lot, sleeping a lot they say when they sleep they grow.
Merle.......
Wow what a great post ! The heat has been unbearable here too, loved the photos of the babies, they look like their Mum and your painting of her is beautiful. The dress you made is lovely, it takes a lot of skill to sew baby clothes.
ReplyDeleteYou are right about making baby clothes very fiddly and just too hot for that sort of thing at the moment.
DeleteMerle............
Your Grand-babies are adorable! I am hating the heat here too — it saps all my energy. You don't have air-con either? Our nights are so hot too and I take it your nights have been the same too? Hope you get some relief from the heat soon. The humidity here is what hits me the hardest.
ReplyDeleteThe little baby outfits you made are lovely! I agree, the tinier the clothing, the harder to sew. I remember when I used to sew my daughter's dresses and I would always make matching outfits for her Cabbage Patch dolls — the doll's clothes were the hardest to sew because they were so tiny. haha
Never see street gardens like that here. I don't think our councils would allow it but I think they look beautiful.
Have a beautiful, hopefully cooler, Sunday ~ :)
The weather is better the last two days, no, no air-con here but my daughter has so the babies are ok in the heat, I've just had the fans on and all the windows and doors open it helps a bit.
DeleteWe have a few around my way but you are right some councils don't like them. I saw on TV the other day where some places are planting fruit trees make sense to me kids could eat the fruit on their way home from school.
Merle.........
Oooops, I meant to add that the portrait you painted of your daughter is beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, what genre of art books do you like?
I like most art books had a lot of how to paint various things they are helpful at times.
DeleteMerle.................
SO adorable, that dress reminds me of Minnie Mouse. And your lunch looks sooooo good. Now I'm hungry!! Enjoy your summer - it's very icy here.
ReplyDeleteIt does look like Minnie Mouses dress.
