Two visits, red skies and lots of birds.

Flocks of birds, mainly white ones are everywhere at the moment.
We often see lots in summer and spring but don't remember seeing them in such numbers at the start of winter before, every time I went to get the camera they flew away but managed to get these from the other side of the road.
And many red skies, this week.
My niece came for lunch
Well actually the beer fairys niece they grew up together, she was my workmate at Repco and he had just arrived in Sydney so she organised for us to meet so the tree of us go back a long way, good catch up on all the family's gossip.
A visit over to my daughters.    The mum to be and the father to be.

Wonderful red skies yesterday afternoon, special effects on this one I dropped the camera and took a picture at the same time couldn't do it again if I tried.

  4. Corellas, I suppose. I would be impressed with the sky photos but the dropped camera photo takes the cake. The Matchmaker Niece.

  5. Growing up on the coast we used to say red skies at night sailors delight but now living in the bush it's shepherds delight. Your photos are all really lovely and everyone in them looks so relaxed and happy.

Crikey, you get corellas flocking like that in the city? Your tree is clearly tasty!!! I really like your special effect shot - there are photographers who go to great lengths to manufacture shots like that! We had a dawn this morning which pretty much looked like your sunset - gorgeous eh? YAM xx

  8. I see the corellas have made it to your suburb, they're a noisy bunch aren't they? I miss them here, they go further into the city now that we've had so many trees taken down.
Nice to have family visit, especially when you go back so many years. I hope your daughter isn't having morning sickness.
