My week in bits and more bits.

Stuck flowers on my drawers.

Made up the spare bed
Painted a corner in the bathroom
Had some cheese stolen from my lunch by the cheese lover.
But she was sorry and fast so I had a good laugh and so did the beer fairy.
And  Kidney had her tummy tickled, she does like a good tummy tickle.
Lots of rain
Broke some glass, I was saving to repair my windows if they broke as you can't get it anymore.

Cleaned the fridge as we are having our power turned off for seven hours, my fridge hates to be turned off so we are eating all spare food in case it plays up.
We think they are fixing the pole out the front, a new pole was put in about 12 months ago but the connections were not transfered over, there is about 12 houses affected.
When they erected the pole they managed to hit a gas line and no one had gas for a few days and there was a strong smell for a day or two so who knows what they will do this time so I am prepared for a longer time without power.

The garden at night

Kidney getting ready for a cat nap
My selfie, I'm  not doing this right.
Recovering this chair.
Well that's it for this week .
Have a good weekend.

  1. I wish our fridge looked like that instead of being crammed full. Ok, yes, there are a few wine bottles.

Great photos of that was the week that was.

  2. @Andrew; clean your fridge....ha ha
    No power for seven hours??
Borrow the beer fairy's esky and fill it with ice for your milk and butter etc.
You're in Sydney? My neighbour P came knocking on my door recently with a story about not having any power for about seven hours, there'd be a letter in the mailbox to let us know which day, but that was all she knew about it. She'd heard something on the ABC news on the radio. Now I'm wondering if she heard news from Sydney.....
She does this often, hears little bits of news and comes to tell me, but she never has the complete story. It's infuriating.
You've certainly had a busy week.

    1. All we got was a letter in our mailbox I have no idea what they are doing.
We don't have a esky, I just realised that, once we had 5 but never used them much any more so I gave them away, very few parties and picnics now.

Oh dear, the irony of breaking the glass that was in reserve... The drawers look good, garden looks good, fridge looks good, room looks good... shame about the 'light'!!! Hope it is a trouble-free 7 hours. Here's to another good week then! YAM xx

    1. The glass was all I had but some of the other glass in the stained glass windows is no longer made so they can never be repaired unless I find one to keep in reserve with the same design.

  12. You have been busy Merle!
Reading about the electricity and gas issues made me think you know the same problems we do on this island!
Happy Sunday and watch the cheese: Drumstick is obviously as fast as a Corgi!
