A NEW BOSS

WWWell we have a new prime minster not my choice but I didn't like any of them this time that's unusual, we also lost the rugby last night to South Africa the first time in 7 years in Brisbane, and we shouldn't mention the cricket.
That is just the mens side our women are champions but it is not so well known as they don't get the credit like the mens teams do and don't have the following, some of our women's teams have done very well this year.
We had a woman as prime minster until a few months back but there was a takeover, by the grey ghost as the party liked their chances with him better than her but it was not to be.

But we now have a new boss and I hope he solves some of the problems and keeps everyone happy, not easy to do, maybe he will grow on me, maybe not.

    1. A lot went wrong while Julia was prime minster but I think it would have happened no matter who was running the show, it has been a few eventful years around the world and it all affects all the countries.
I was pleased she had a go and was given the chance.

  3. I'm suspicious about the whole Gillard/Rudd backstabbing takeover thing. I think her takeover was a planned action to generate sympathy for Rudd so people would be more inclined to like him when he managed to oust her and regain the prime minister ship. You'll notice she wasn't too unhappy at losing the position...To me this smacks of deviousness, so while I'm not a fan of Tony Abbott, I'm very pleased to see the end of Kevin Rudd.

  4. It will be interesting to watch. While I am not a supporter of Abbott or his party, it easier to hate who you don't like what they stand for, that is big business profits at the expense of workers and social security recipients and the disadvantaged.

    1. Abbott irritates me every time he opens his mouth but what worries me is liberal are in power in state and federal, they will have a free hand to do what ever they want and thas not good.

  6. So do I but I have my doubts, this party is on side of the rich and powerful or has been in the past, the little man is often overlooked.

  7. I hope he's an improvement on what a lot of countries have including my own. How long do you have to wait before changing things up if he's not working out? I have no idea how the government of Australia works.

    1. Three years before the next election, we vote a member for our area into government in the lower house and the upper house. Their are two major parties an lots of little ones.
The parties can elect their own boss if unhappy with the one running the country at any time so they have to toe the line and keep the rest of the wolves happy, it works most of the time but has its ups and downs as they all do.

  8. I am very, very glad that he doesn't have control of the Senate, and will have to negotiate as opposed to just having it all his own way.

OMG....okay - this made me check news - can you believe that I have completely missed the fact there was to be an election??? Arrcghhh - that has all sorts of connotations for YAM that she doesn't want to think about right now..

ABBOTT?? EEerrrrkkkk. Hate to say it, but if had not already made decision to return to Scotland, this would have clinched it!! I got away from Thatcherite Britain - this bloke is too far that way in my thinking.

    Thanks for posting this Merle....
