Sunday 2 June 2013

A cold windy and rainy Sunday.

This my wool dragon he was someones else's but they left him behind so I now keep my wool in him.

He his three pockets and holds a fair bit of wool all the left over bits from various things I have knitted.

Leaves everywhere but we are expecting strong winds tonight so I'm not raking the up today, too cold out side anyway.

I need a new broom and scooper upper this one is held together by packing tape, I think it reads fragile, that's pretty right.

Perfect drops of water sit in the middle of these leaves.

There is a small break in the weather so I have ventured out side for some photos.

Raining again so back inside, this is my latest idea these are usually found on fence posts, I need two because I lost the ones near the gate they rotted and I replaced with these but I had five so these are sitting on my bed till needed.

And this is my new light shade for the hall or the bedroom, I haven't made up my mind which yet. My sons house had all the light fittings that suit my sort of house, he modernised his home and they didn't suit so well so he gave them to me as he replaced them.

I hung my scrolls from Hong Kong in the bedroom.  I don't know what they say but it's bound to be good.

I am making a cover for Snoot's chair it is falling apart but she started sleeping on it when she was hurt and spends most nights sleeping there now.

Mrs mouse is outside drying off after a sponge down after a certain cat took a dislike to her and gave her a golden shower.

I found a few flowers.

More rain so off inside again.
The twins have got the right idea.

Sleep

and more sleep.

Leroy is snoozing too.

I wonder where the ginger one has got to, she was in the garden.

But she has moved in with the beer fairy, everyone is asleep.

Well I'm reading a good book so I will curl up under a blankets and drift off too, bye for now.

  2. It seems so odd to see signs of autumn when we are heading into summer...but we both have rain...and snoozing cats!

    1. They are clay ones, only a few doves and a sparrow or two here in winter, and if Pidge gets lonely I have a few fake ones around to keep him company.

  10. Looks like you are staying cozy and comfy inside while the wind blows all the leaves. I love Autumn, but have a few months to go for that. I love your screen door, Merle. And your new light shades and the Hong Kong banners. You make me laugh calling your Mr. 'The Beer Fairy'. That is the best! Stay cozy - can't wait to see your chair cover. xx

    1. We have an add here with I think 4 very untidy older men as beer fairys and if you drink cider instead of beer, they say a beer fairy dies or something like that, it was a good add but didn't for some reason last very long, but one day it was on and Mr was looking very messy and showing his age and I said did you model for the beer fairy look and he said '"sure did'" so thats how he got his name.

  11. After your storm, looks more like fall instead of late spring! Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog site - you mentioned that the mushrooms I shot were deadly? They are only out in the morning - They close up and you don't even know they are there during the day. Should I pull them up? My dog walks there all the time.

    1. I'm in Australia, we are just starting winter.
I have many strange mushrooms pop up but I now always check to garden before my daughters dog visits because he just eats everything but my cats never touch them.
I know some are deadly and some are not trouble is I don't which is which.
